Digory and Polly meet and become friends one cold, wet summer in London. Their lives burst into adventure when Digory's Uncle Andrew, who thinks he is a magician, sends them hurtling to...somewhere else. They find their way to Narnia, newborn from the Lion's song, and encounter the evil sorceress Jadis, before they finally return home.

Jason says: "An incredible children's series"
"A great book with excellent narration"
    Overall

The Magician's Nephew is a great start to the classic Narnia series and this audiobook is especially worthwhile thanks to Kenneth Branagh's superb narration. This book is the first chronologically in the Narnia series, although I believe Lewis wrote it last. Its a great introduction to one the absolute best series in children's literature. Highly recommended.

Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

Kapila says: "6 titles in the series so far"
"Amazing narration of a great book"
    Overall

I had numerous friends tell me to read Ender's Game, but never really got around to it. After signing up for Audible I thought I would go ahead and give it a try... wow.

The book itself is truly great - I am not a Sci-fi fan at all, but this story is fantastic. However, that is not what impressed me the most. Don't get me wrong, I am currently planning to acquire at least a few more of Orson Scott Card's books, but it was the narration in this audio book that really blew me away.

I have only listened to a few audio books before this, but none have them have come anywhere near as engrossing as this one (in terms of narration) It is truly spot on in Ender's Game and all the narrators were damn near perfect. An excellent listen!
