Of the 50 books I've listened to this one is in my top 10. You will enjoy this story.
The storyline was completely different then anything I've read. I literally felt so connected with Violet I could feel what she was going through, the anxiety all the way to the love.
I don't have a favorite scene because the entire book is that good. I wanted to listened to it in one day.
I would take Violet just so I could listen to her recount the entire story again. I want to hear all over how she felt when she discovered the truth.
I think anyone would enjoy this book no matter the genre they prefer.
You can feel the pain of the characters in this book. Nell is a girl that's headed for accomplishing great things in life but when tragedy strikes her path is changed forever. You get to see this perfect girl with her perfect life turned upside. The struggles she goes through is not pretty or glamourized, it seems so real. Their is no way the author or someone close to her didn't live through something very similar to this.
Although this is not really part of the book at the very end someone sings the song Falling Into You and it was so beautiful.
Playing the guitar in the hospital. I won't add anything else, don't want to spoil anything.
The hospital scene with the guitar.
Unlike the other reviews I didn't cry but it will break your heart for sure.
After nearly 50 books this is the 1st book I would recommend to anyone and everyone. I normally stay away from books with drug content because they always seem to glamorize the street life and although I have no experience with that life I seriously doubt everyone lives happily ever after. This book is what I imagine that life to be. The struggle, money, fun, drugs, death, this book has it all without being unbelievable.
At 19 hours long this book was very detailed and it showed her journey from the beginning to the end. It's long but in noway was I ready for it to be over. I've listened to long books and I always seem to be ready for it to be over already but no this one.
Yes the characters had different voices. The only problem with the narration was the southern accent. At times the accent was very prominent which is weird because all the characters are from NY. It doesn't take away from the book and to be honest I wouldn't have wanted to listen to strong NY accents since I'm from VA. I can see it bothering those from the North though as they probably don't want to listen to a southern accent for 19 hours.
Truth is Stranger than Fiction, the name of the book Sunny and Jada wrote. Although I think that title/tag is already used elsewhere.
You won't regret getting this book.
Not at all. This book was literally the exact same as The Marriage Bargain with different character names and of course the characters from The Marriage Bargain were in this book. Waste of time just listen to the Marriage Bargain twice and save yourself a credit.
Not really, not only is it a carbon copy of The Marriahe Bargain but it's not even that good of a story. It wasn't horrible at all but nothing memorable either.
No favorite, nothing stood out
It could be a Lifetime movie for sure and it would be an okay movie to watch on a rainy Sunday
Don't waste your credit.
I loved this book! It was a pleasant surprise because I thought it would just be okay. I loved the characters, the storyline, well everything really.
The plot was so interesting because it's similiar to other books but still different enough that the reader is not sitting there thinking I've heard this storyline before.
She bought the characters alive. At times I felt like I was actually listening to the characters speaking.
Not that I can recall particularly and that's just because it's been awhile since I listened to this book.
I recommend this book and there are not many books I would actually recommend but this one is a winner for sure.
So far I've listened to about 50 books and this one is in my top 20.
It was a mix of predictability, romance and fun.
No favorite she did a great job with all the characters.
Yes I wanted to listen to it in one sitting and it's rather short so that wouldn't be too difficult to achieve.
This book was quite enjoyable. The part about the magic spell seemed sort of dumb and didn't really have anything to do with the book. The spell is mentioned briefly at the beginning and the end so that should have been omitted from the storyline.
No and that's simply because I can never go back and listen to a book again. I'm not sure why and I know most people do but I just can't. To me, listening to a book is all about the surprise of what's next so repetitive listening to me would be boring.
When the mother caught them in the hotel room. The mother's response was rather interesting and I didn't see that coming.
The Italian accent she used irritated me at first because I couldn't help but imagining Carina as this big boobed bimbo which did not mesh with the writer’s portrayal of this smart, educated, sophisticated woman. A little while into the book I started to enjoy it and it made me feel like I was actually listening to some crazy Italians.
I could have but I didn't have a NEED to listen to it in one sitting.
I really enjoyed how Carina matured and found herself by the end of the book.
I would say this about this book. I just finished this book maybe a week ago and I don't remember much about it and I think that says a lot. It's not a horrible story by any means and I've listened to some horrible stories but it's no page turner either.
I would recommend it if it's on sale, I purchased it because it was on sale for 7.95 and the reviews were good. If I had used a credit I wouldn't be too happy right now.
This is the first of Natalie's work I've heard. She did a good job.
Sure why not, kept me entertained enough while I was at work.
The story should have ended with this book. This book was simply a filler to hold us over until the next one (and fill the author's pockets) is released and I feel very cheated. I pre-ordered this book, and I've never pre-ordered a book before and once it was over I felt like knowing really happened.
It's not a bad story and she has written a lot better books and a lot worse.
I'm not sure I've I have listened to Jill Redfield's performances in the past but she was great.
Heck yea! This book just ended; just like that it was over. It needed something major to happen and the one thing that was major didn't really feel all that major. (Sorry for the redundant words, I'm literally just at a loss for words for this book.
I enjoyed this book so much. The storyline was great although predictable at times. It seems sort of strange to have this big production studio in the country with these rich folks walking around. BUT it was still a great read.
Angel has to be my favorite character. She's this little innocent girl that everyone falls in love with and the narratior's voice matched this energeic little girl so well.
When the mother left Angel with her dad with no warning. It was great to hear him fall right into daddy mode like he's been parenting forever.
No extreme emotions. Such a delightful PG13 book.
