Not bad per say, just a little tedious. Actually book 1 is okay, but the books that follow are horrendous. I'm a big fan of Mary Calmes, but unfortunately these series of books don't live up to her usual high standard.
The series needed to end after book one. In the books that follow stretch to the story line to a point where it's no longer plausible. And please please please please just get Jory to make a sensible decision.
The narrator was really good.
It inspired me to buy books two and three. These books inspired me to return them.
Great character development, well performed and engaging. Well worth the credit - go ahead and buy it!
Loved this book. Amy Lane at her best - I think this will be a great series of books. A particularly sexy instalment. Can't wait for the next one.
Many time, I've wanted to know what happens after. Some stories end too soon, and you're left wondering what happened next. This one, suffers the reverse. A brilliant story, well written, expertly performed and a joy to listen to. The plot wraps up, and then it goes on. And on. It would be improved by dropping the last two hours of the book.
All that said, it's more than worth a credit. It's great and I look forward to more from the author.
Fantastic combination of a great book and a great narrator bring this heart wrenching tale to life. It's not an easy book, but it's expertly handled by the author and narrator alike. Amy Lane always delivers, love her work.
Just when you were getting tired of the Jory plot line, along comes this little gem. I'm always a fan of Mary Calmes and this book doesn't disappoint.
I'm sure I've got nearly all the books in the series.
If you're into magic, kings, queens and castles, this one is for you. Suspend your disbeliefs and embrace the tale and you're be fine.
I know I listened to this book. I remember snippets, but much more than that escapes me. Pity it's unremarkable.
Great series of books. Loved the first book more, once I'd been through the second. Rather than finding the book confusing, I loved the interpersonal relationships and extensions of the smaller plot lines from the first book. Here's hoping for more.
I'm writing this review after having experienced the second book in the series. As a result, I remember this book fondly. Consciously or not, the books feature better as a set, than stand alone. I hope there are more to come.
A good continuation of lives of Bear, Otter and the Kid. The author does an admirable job of squeezing another instalment from a storyline that wrapped up pretty nicely in the first book.
Not as good as the first book, but a really great end to a cute little love story.
