When Harold Fry nips out one morning to post a letter, leaving his wife hoovering upstairs, he has no idea that he is about to walk from one end of the country to the other. He has no hiking boots or map, let alone a compass, waterproof, or mobile phone. All he knows is that he must keep walking - to save someone else's life.

My wife picked this book, as I would never have picked about someone that walks out the door and keeps walking... However I was hooked in 5 minutes and needed to finish. Great characters, well written dialogs, storyline and great feeling to the overall story.

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she's made it out of the bloody arena live, she's still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge....

Sue Schreiber says: "A very satisfying ending"
"Reasonable end to the trilogy but worst of the 3!"

Really enjoyed the first two parts of the series, so needed to read this part. The mockingjay is more longwinded, charaters behave a lot more irrational. So little less enjoyable, I actually didn't even finish a few days but managed to put it away. Like with the first two books performance is excellent.

  • Outliers: The Story of Success

In this stunning new book, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers"--the best and the brightest, the most famous and the most successful. He asks the question: what makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: that is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

S Prabhu says: "Excellent book; well adapted for the audio format"

First two hours or so filled me with wonder a very different view on the world. Really gripping and interesting however the next five are rather disappointing. Kept listing because I had a fever and absolutely nothing else to do... Especially fifth word by word analysis of a rather uninteresting cockpit discussion (ten minutes each) was fatal. Only a rather slow four year old would not have gotten the point after the first two. However would buy for first few hours. Overall style of writing is good and narrator is enjoyable.
