A true story as exhilarating as a great spy thriller, as turbulent as today's headlines from the Middle East, A Time to Betray reveals what no other previous CIA operative's memoir possibly could: the inner workings of the notorious Revolutionary Guards of Iran, as witnessed by an Iranian man inside their ranks who spied for the American government.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The insight one develops in this book is amazing

What other book might you compare A Time to Betray to and why?

I don't have one. I was sucked in and it was almost as I was living as the author.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    The WHOLE book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I don't want to give the book away.....so you will have to listen for yourself

    Any additional comments?

This book is amazing. I never understood the situation in the Middle East and Iran until now. I have vast knowledge of government workings in that area (I can't say more) but never truly understood the depth and breath of the situation until reading this book. I felt as if I could see everything that was happening and feel everything the author went through. I was literally addicted to this book, and that rarely happens to me.

Maximizing the trader's state of mind is the key to successful results. Conflicts, contradictions, and paradoxes in thinking can spell disaster for even a highly motivated, astute and well-grounded trader. Mark Douglas, an industry consultant since 1982, sends the message that a "thinking strategy" will profoundly influence a trader's success rate. Douglas addresses five very specific issues to give traders the insight and understanding about themselves that will make them consistent winners in the market. Trading in the Zone offers specific solutions to the "people factor" of commodity price movement. It uncovers the true culprit for lack of consistency when it comes to stock picking: lack of focus and self-confidence. Through simple exercises, traders will learn how to think in terms of probabilities and adopt the specific beliefs necessary to developing a winner's mindset. Along the way, they'll gain valuable insights into their own entrenched misconceptions about the market.

This is a very good book. There is a lot of zen type talk, but it is an excellent learning experience. I wish I would have read this book long before I begin trading.

In The Real Crash, New York Times best-selling author Peter D. Schiff argues that America is enjoying a government-inflated bubble, one that reality will explode... with disastrous consequences for the economy and for each of us. Schiff demonstrates how the infusion of billions of dollars of stimulus money has only dug a deeper hole: The United States government simply spends too much and does not collect enough money to pay its debts, and in the end, Americans from all walks of life will face a crushing consequence.

Lets save some time for you...

    1. Buy Gold
    2. Schiff thinks he has the answer to our political problems and wants to be in government office.
    3. Don't count on any government programs to be there for you in the future.
    4. We are going to have a currency war in the future.
    5. Government regulation is killing the economy.

....now that I saved you the cost of the book and time to listen to it, go download something that is actually helpful. At least the narrator is good.

In 1971, President Nixon imposed national price controls and took the United States off the gold standard, an extreme measure intended to end an ongoing currency war that had destroyed faith in the U.S. dollar. Today we are engaged in a new currency war, and this time the consequences will be far worse than those that confronted Nixon. Currency wars are one of the most destructive and feared outcomes in international economics.

What did you love best about Currency Wars?

The insight into what a currency war is and how it effects an economy

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The intro was most interesting, the least was the middle of the story.

Which character – as performed by Walter Dixon – was your favorite?

    N/A

If you could give Currency Wars a new subtitle, what would it be?

Money education that everyone should have if you invest.

    Any additional comments?

The overall book is good. I just rated it a little low because there are about 3 to 4 chapters that are a little boring, hence the coffee remark in the title. There is a lot of knowledge in this book and I plan on re-listening to it. We are starting a world currency war now and you need this knowledge to plan accordingly.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Want to join the “superhumans”? Luckily you don’t have to run to catch up with them, thanks to McDougall’s and Sanders’ inspiring (and motivating) journey through history, science, physiology, health, entertaining characters and unlikely friendships. Full of incredible characters, amazing athletic achievements, cutting-edge science, and, most of all, pure inspiration, Born to Run is an epic adventure.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen?

    The description of the race

Have you listened to any of Fred Sanders’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not but his performance was excellent.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    YES!!!

    Any additional comments?

Amazing book. My 6 year old daughter even enjoyed listening to this book with me. One night we sat and did small tasks for 4 hours and listed to this book the whole time. If you run at all, or even if you don't, I would say this is a must download.

The economic and monetary disaster, which seasoned Wall Street prognosticator Peter Schiff warned of in the bestselling first edition of Crash Proof, is no longer hypothetical - it is here today. And while most people believe that the economic collapse is over, the reality is that it has only just begun. That's why he's returned with Crash Proof 2.0.

What did you love best about Crash Proof 2.0?

How the author broke down the housing crisis and economic disaster we encountered.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    N/A

What does Sean Pratt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sean Pratt is a good narrator, sometimes that is hard to find with audible books.

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

Use as a history of the housing and bank collapse with an economic point of view.

    Any additional comments?

Understand that some of Schiff's political point of views and ideals come out in this book. It is not as bad as some of his others. Once you get past him telling you how right he was and how no one listed to him as well as the several plugs for his one company it is pretty good. Do not use this book for the modern economic condition but a history lesson that one could possibly learn from if the government does not fix our tax and spending problem.

Jim Cramer's Getting Back to Even offers the most detailed guidance he has ever given on how to invest in a changed market. Savvy investors will not just survive; they will thrive. Your portfolio won't fix itself; you have to do that. It's easy to close your eyes and pretend that it all never happened, but you'll never get back to even that way, much less profit from the opportunities that this new market offers to investors who know where to put their money.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Listening to the book gave a good overview. You can definitely tell it is an abridged version I would have liked to have had the option for the unabridged version. As long as you keep a high level view in mind for the instructions it is good.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have liked have to have added more content.

What about James J. Cramer’s performance did you like?

It was nice to hear things in typical Jim Cramer fashion.

Did Jim Cramer's Getting Back to Even inspire you to do anything?

It did solidify some things that I already knew and gave me insight into other things that I did not know

While the "experts" want us to believe that all is well (or will be soon), nothing could be further from the truth. The worldwide financial crisis of 2008 and 2009 was just a sneak preview of what is to come. But for those who act quickly and correctly, there is still time to protect yourself, your family, and your business in the next global money meltdown.

What did you love best about Aftershock?

The information and the way the author breaks down aspects of economics.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

During the reading of this book, certain events started to happen just as the author said it would.

What about Christopher Kipiniak’s performance did you like?

Very good. Easy to listen to.

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

That gold was going to run a ten year bubble.......very curious to see if it happens.

    Any additional comments?

I would recommend this as a read whether you believe their theory or not. Once you get past their plugs, the information makes you look at things from a different angle. I am definately a bull investor, but after listening it made me look at possibilities of alternative exit strategies that could make me more money.
