"Very enjoyable book"
To me this audio is a masterpiece of story telling. Narrator Humphrey Bower really brought the charactors to life, even the female ones and that is a great feat in itself. It brings great credit to Author Gregory David Roberts book. I hope he writes another one soon.
"Doesn't quite hit the mark"
For me this book was an OK listen but I should have realized the narrator would read it in the same monotone voice throughout as the sample clip, with no real emotion. Though there were some good stories about the war in Vietnam I think it could have been read better.
"Entertainning !"
The book may be a little long but Steve Perry makes it worth the time if you got time. Even though it has some 'other world' jargon it's pretty easy to understand what is implied and for me the main character and simple storyline makes it a good listen. The only thing I didn't like was that the fight scenes didn't portray any pain or emotion when someone was fatally wounded.
"Art Pupil - Long but enjoyable"
Like a few of Stephen King novels this book is pretty long but it tends to keep the listener interested, not wanting to skip chapters for fear of loosing their place in the story. It helps that it is narrated by the talented Frank Muller who gives the story his own special rendering. I would whole heartily recommend this one whether they are a fan King or not.
"Dante's Inferno"
This audible is very well narrated and keep me listening all the through without stopping!
This classic was my first - can't wait to pick another of so many titles.
