This book provided me with practical tools and ideas to use in real life negotiations. In fact, while I was listening to it, I was able to negotiate an additional $25000 discount off of my company's replacement phone system.
Having just listened to Free by Chris Anderson I was excited to continue my listening along similar subject matter. Socialnomics seemed to fit the bill.
Unfortunately, the reader sounds like he could be computerized and the style feels like it was written for my mother who has no understanding of what facebook, youtube, or myspace is.
When youtube is mentioned, for example, the author constantly says, "the social media site youtube". We all know it's a social media site.
In addition, the examples are long, drawn out, and repetitive.
Perhaps the hard copy reads better but this was a terrible disappointment.
