"Somewhat Annoying"
This book appears to be only useful for either young people or the radically uniformed person. The author grinds in the obvious to an irritating degree. This book went into several hours of repeating stories people who had worried themselves nearly to death by various problems then *poof* 'stopped worrying and started living'
The solution offered was simply 'ignore it through getting busy' which is an instinctual response for most people. There is no actual 'technique' or 'method' recommended other than "go read your bible and pray to Jesus" repeated in several sections advocating one should primarily become religious for stress control.
The piece on dealing with criticism appeared to be written for the individual who becomes easily wounded by it, yet still gave no actual 'techique' to stop the problem. Rather than recommending methods of 'self diagonstic' to locate the cause of 'why' it is such an issue that keeps coming at them, the author implies just ignoring it, when it's clearly not that simple, particularly if it costs a person his job or damages wellbeing.
So if you're looking for a new method & actual technique to change your reality enough to control stress & worry, i recommend looking into the subject of quantum physics & Law of Attraction.
"Kratchety Uncle George"
i listen again and again. i share his raunchy sense of humor.
Napalm & Silly Putty I & 2. He has a great balance between 'righteous ranting' and 'raunchy humor'. George was a genius. i miss him.
"Neat Story"
i though it was a classy story involving a good mystery and a glance into the realm of the 'upper crust' cast of characters with their 'behind the facade' personalities, issues & behaviors. Frankly i hope Mrs. Hitchcock will write many more and have them all narrated again by my favorite voice, Ms. Rosenblat.
"Worth the chance"
This book does start out slow and somewhat confusing, but so do many movies. The idea behind a mystery novel is to gradually bring the peices together. i agree it was hard to follow for the first couple hours, but when it picked up it was impossible to put down. Regardless of whether it kept accuracy of ancient mythology didn't really matter being that fiction does carry some creative license. i very much hope the next book will be recorded.
