Optimize the Balance

I have read all Patrick Lencioni's books twice, except for this one because it only came out in March. I plan to read it again within a year. I liked his book because it combined content from all his books. It is almost a how to lead and run a company. Though I wish it had a fable. By the time I got to the end of the book I wanted to read it again. So there was only initial disappointment that it did not have a fable.

Wish it had a fable. Patrick's fables are fun and comprehendible.

It was slow to start like many novels until I got to some of the story, and then I could not put it down. My next book is the sequel and I already started it, the same day I finished this one.

Listening to this book was hard because I did not practice the techniques. The first part is okay to listen but the 2nd part must be practiced. Get the book and practice otherwise skip this. The content is good, but only if you practice it.

I listened to this book on 2x speed. I wanted to get through it quick because one story was enough for me to understand that Edgar Cayce could see (I finish everything I start.) And that the narrator did not spice it up a bit. The narration was bland.

No. Those that believe will not need another story. Those that do not believe will not be convinced by this book.

More spice. I felt that it was monotone and bland.

There are enough good ghost, good spirit movies on the market that this one would not be different. It would be if the director made it realistic.

Everybody is a leader and this book may help other readers, who are searching about themselves, the motivation to recognize and act on that they are a leader without being leadership. I believe in the content and was glad that I read the book.

Excellent articles about failure. I encourage failure as a teacher. Now I plan to encourage review of success to better understand both sides. If only more corporate and business leaders would have the courage to accept failure and teach their replacements through acceptance (model the behavior) we would all be better off, leaders and followers.

This book is very similar to her other book titled Mindfulness, in that some of the same studies are in both books. This book discusses the virtues of being mindful. A topic that if practiced on a daily basis would reduce much strife in the world. If you like the author and the narrator, get the book, otherwise find an alternative author and narrator.
