Ralph Roberts has an incurable case of insomnia, but lack of sleep is the least of his worries. Each night he stays awake, Ralph witnesses more of the odd activity taking place in Derry after dark than he wants to know. The nice young chemist up the street beats his wife and has delusions about beings he calls "The Centurions".

What mental patient put that music in this audio book??? You would have to be riding the short bus to think that makes a book better or more interesting. It is annoying to the fifth power. Please stop it, please don't suffer us with any more audio enhanced books!!!!

Other than that, good book and goes right along with the rest of the King's books.

Jack Reacher reunites with the survivors of his old Army investigative team, scrambling to raise the living, bury the dead, and connect the dots in a mystery that is growing darker by the day. In a world of bad luck and trouble, when someone targets Jack Reacher and his team, they'd better be ready for what comes right back at them.

I started the Lee Child novels with “The Killing Floor” and was immediately captured by the talent of this Author. I was insanely addicted and went through book after book to where I am now “Nothing To Loose”. In my journey through these novels I have came to the conclusion that this Author has a agenda. To start his agenda he gets his readers addicted by pure, raw, talent and then slowly starts feeding his messages and as the books go on the message gets plainer, louder, and more outspoken.

After the first few books it is clear that Reacher (Lee Child) is a Atheist but he doesn’t pound away at it, he just makes a few jabs at believers. In every book he has to sleep with different women and makes it clear that sleeping with a woman doesn’t and shouldn’t mean any kind of commitment to that said woman. By the time I had gotten to the book “The Enemy” it was clear that Reacher (Lee Child) was also a homosexual supporter and in favor of homosexual’s in the military! So now we have the big brute “Reacher” going around killing everyone and beating up every man he comes across but has a sensitive spot for having homosexuals in our military!

Now for the Clincher!!! I have now gotten to “Nothing To Loose” and Lee Child shows every color in his soul!!! Now Lee is taking huge blows to the believers and now this big bad brutal man (Reacher) is supporting military deserters (who don’t believe in the cause)!!! What a guy this Lee Child is!!! In this book he comes out swinging like Nancy Peolosi!! I am truly amazed at the agenda Lee has by this book. I am angry and sad that now I have purchased every “Reacher” novel that I was pulled in to this trap and now funded him to write more books on his agenda!!! I am sad that Lee obviously doesn’t know anything about a higher power, moral values, and the commitment of a armed soldier!!! If Lee Child shares your personal idea’s then by all means his books will be of great satisfaction to you and you have the right to that belief syste

Two lonely towns in Colorado: Hope and Despair. Between them, 12 miles of empty road. Jack Reacher never turns back. It's not in his nature. All he wants is a cup of coffee. What he gets is big trouble. So in Lee Child's electrifying new novel, Reacher - a man with no fear, no illusions, and nothing to lose - goes to war against a town that not only wants him gone, it wants him dead.

Reacher is hitching through the heat of West Texas and getting desperate for a ride. The last thing he's worried about is exactly who picks him up.

She's called Carmen. She's a good-looking young woman, she has a beautiful little girl...and she has married into the wrong family. They're called the Greers. They're a bitter and miserly clan, and they've made her life a living hell. Worse, her monster of a husband is soon due out of prison. So she needs protection, and she needs it now.

Lawyers can't help. Cops can't be trusted. So Reacher goes home with her to the lonely ranch where nothing is as it seems, and where evil swirls around them like dust in a storm. Within days, Carmen's husband is dead - and simmering secrets send Echo, Texas, up in flames.

Women are dying. Women who have nothing in common except the fact that they once worked for the military. And they knew Jack Reacher. How and why these women are in danger completely baffles the elite FBI team working the case. There is no trace evidence. There are no links between victims. Their bodies have no fatal wounds. And the killer entered their homes and exited again like a summer breeze.

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

SK is one of my favorite writers but his books just keep getting more foul mouthed and perverted to the extent of having to fast forward through all the penthouse scenes and turning the volume down on most of the characters. Great story but could have been much better without the GD this and GD that and Fu@# this and that and his political views.
