My twelve year old daughter enjoyed the story and the narration was very good. Now, when someone says, "Don't be such a Pollyanna," she understands. I definitely think this book should be a part of every child's reading experience -- very positive message that even children can make a difference in other people's lives.
I read the Millionaire Next Door years ago and loved it. This book goes into more detail and is not only fascinating, but informative. Remember, Dr. Stanley is a professor so the material is presented as if a doctoral dissertation at time, but I find the statistics give validity to his findings. Yes, many parts are somewhat repetitive, but he does so for a reason. He provides an overview in the beginning and then goes into detail about each subject as the book progresses. If you want to change how you view your own financial situation, then this book is a very good, philosophical start.
