Sue Monk Kidd's ravishing debut novel has stolen the hearts of reviewers and readers alike with its strong, assured voice. Set in South Carolina in 1964, The Secret Life of Bees tells the story of Lily Owens, whose life has been shaped around the blurred memory of the afternoon her mother was killed.

Laura says: "It's hard to stop listening..."

I loved the book. It was sad but a great story. I listen to it while walking home from work and it was a great companion.

Myron hasn't heard from Terese Collins in years. Not since their affair ended with no explanation. There had been no contact since, so her call catches him off guard. She's in Paris, she says, in trouble, and only Myron can help. She tells him a sad story she's never before revealed: a good marriage, her struggles to get pregnant, the happiest moment of her life when her only child was born, the day everything she'd ever loved was taken from her.

Karen says: "Highly recommend/but prefer Marosz over Weber"

I like Harlan Coben books because they are so exciting. In other word, they are not dull. They make you not want to put them down until the end. This is also a good book.
