A Great read, an amazing roller-coaster of a story, it will bring tears and laughter.

I found that Jack placing himself in harms way to prevent the beating of a cook the most memorable part of the story. It really resounded with me.

Bryce was an amazing writer, we will miss you and your amazing fabrications.

Even though I enjoyed this novel, I found it somewhat lacking. There was no end of thrills and twists and turns in the story, but it lacked the sheer enjoyment that I received while reading his previous novels.

To the readers considering this novel, go ahead and read it, it is good enough, just don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed.

Yes, it is a good story, with interesting characters who you can't help liking.

Albert Garrick was by far the most memorable character, but then the villains always are. I have a feeling that we have not seen the last of him yet.

Not sure, he did a good job, but I could not help thinking that the story would have really flourished with some of the great narration of Nathaniel Parker from the Artemis fowl series.

The 2nd instalment of the Jack McEvoy series was just great. I could not stop listening and finished the book in just a day. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good read.

The first book of The King-Killer Chronicles is a breath of fresh air, in a genre that can become pretty stale at times.

The book follows two story-lines, the present day story of a humble inn-keeper, and the past remembered history of a young child, who goes from a loving family, to begging on the streets, to the famous university of magic to become one of legends most well-know figures.

The young Kvothe is by far my favorite character. His many adventures & miss-adventure kept me entertained.

I do however wonder how this all-mighty and powerful child became the unassuming and humble inn-keeper, I eagerly await the third book in the series, just so this mystery can be resolved.

It was my first time listening to Rupert Dega, and can only sing high praise of his narration skills.

At times, I laughed out loud, and at times I found my eyes wet with tears. I don't want to spoil the story for anyone by divulging the details. So my only advice is, read the book!

Looking at the Publisher's Summary:

'I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep."

All I can say, without saying too much, of the eight proclamations in the above extract, I have now read about four of them (in addition to many more not stated) in the first two books, so, there is still a lot more to come.

I await eagerly...

I like many have waited for this day to come, I first picked up the first book of this series when I was just a kid and I have read and re-read this series numerous times always waiting for the next book to be released.

For all those fans out there, this book does not disappoint, everything comes full circle, and we can only marvel at the genius of Robert Jordan in conceptualising this whole world and its many characters.

For all those that have thought about reading the series, I urge you to start. Ahead of you lies many, many hours of pure listening bliss. Enjoy!

It was a bit slow, the pace could have been a bit faster. Plot-line was good, if somewhat convoluted

The Lord of the Rings, it is a good story, with many twists and turns, but a tad bit long in some sections, which can make it a bit dreary to plod through

He was ok, I have heard better narrators, It might have been a totally different book in the hands of Humphrey Bower, who knows? I might have enjoyed it more.

Not really, in the end I just wanted to be done with it.

This is a good book, just not to my tastes. You might enjoy it more than I. If you asked me if you should read it or give it a miss, I would tell you to read something else, you can always try "The First Law Series" ...now that was something spectacular!

What a pleasant surprise to find this book, I have read and enjoyed all the previous books and was looking forward to reading this once I found it.

While you don't need to read the previous books to enjoy this story, it will certainly bring a whole new depth to the story if you have read the previous novels. There are many, many appearances by some favourite (and some not so favourite) characters, scattered throughout the book, and the author slowly reveals some of them to you, teasing you with the information, and sometimes he just reveals them straight away. Interestingly, the story is told through the eyes of a whole cast, and it brings a fresh look, a different perspective to how we see these old characters.

I thoroughly endorse this addition to the series, and do wonder at the genius of Joe Abercrombie, for his amazing storytelling talent, and for the masterful production and narration of Steven Pacey, brilliant as always.

A very good read, Harry Bosch is back and on form. I'm a recent fan of Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch series, but I've now read the whole series. This ranks high among the series and I can recommend everyone to read it, not just the fans.
