Constantinople, 1203: As the rapacious armies of the Fourth Crusade lay siege to the city, a secretive band of Templars infiltrate the imperial library. Their target: a cache of documents that must not be allowed to fall into the hands of the Doge of Venice. They escape with three heavy chests, filled with explosive secrets that these men will not live long enough to learn. Vatican City, present day: FBI agent Sean Reilly infiltrates the Pope's massive Vatican Secret Archives of the Inquisition....

What did you like best about The Templar Salvation? What did you like least?

I did not like how Riley now was dumb struck with his heart throb, Tess. He basically is just saving her hide, and not really a part of the story and trying learn about the Templar's. They have way too much sex at times when sex is not appropriate. Tess uses her body to get her way and acts just as stupid in this one as the first one.
The whole story is written in seems as a screen play instead of a novel.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Not this or by this author. I think he has a real problem with the Catholic religion.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

    yes

Do you think The Templar Salvation needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

    no way.

The USS Kentucky - a Trident ballistic missile submarine carrying a full complement of 192 nuclear warheads - sets out on a routine cruise. Not long after it reaches the open sea, however, the Kentucky receives a launch order. After receiving that launch order, it is cut off from all counter orders and disappears into the Pacific while it makes the eight-day transit to the launch site. What the Kentucky's crew doesn't know is that those launch orders didn't come from the US government.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Maybe. If they had not been on subs.

What about Peter Ganim’s performance did you like?

    Peter did a great job

Was The Trident Deception worth the listening time?

    Yes

    Any additional comments?

For a guy who spent a career in the submarine force to embellish the capabilities of a ballistic missile boat the way he did is a shame. The boat would have been sunken by the second shot of the Aussie sub no matter what, no emergency blow would have helped. To make the Kentucky out to be a super sub is just plain sad. Especially after being hit by a torpedo.
The crew of the Kentucky took way too long to figure out something was wrong after the third encounter with friendly forces is way wrong. I know something about boat life and no one in radio questioning the radio traffic or doing PM's on their equipment for two weeks just shows the weakness of the author.

The whole reason for redundant systems with a human element is too think outside the box, especially with nuclear weapons. The CO blindly following orders to launch 10 days after receiving launch codes and not trying to get confirmation of said orders prior to launch is incorrect control procedures. Missile boats are always in constant communication with their higher command authority with separate communication arrays to ensure proper authority command and control are always maintained.

Out of the Silent Planet is the first novel of the Cosmic Trilogy, considered to be C.S. Lewis' chief contribution to the science fiction genre.

What did you love best about Out of the Silent Planet?

Very descriptive account of what Mars would look like if it had life.

What did you like best about this story?

Brings the ability to see how someone can overcome their prejudices and work with someone who is completely different. Even going to the point of understanding their culture and language.

What does Geoffrey Howard bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He brings a certain speed and confidence in his reading.
