What did you love best about A Game of Chance?

Finding out what the Mckenzies are doing and how the family has grown.

What other book might you compare A Game of Chance to and why?

    Mckenzies Pleasure

Which character – as performed by Kali Dziuba – was your favorite?

I really didn't have a favorite as it was hard to tell one from another at first.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    Naming the baby "Wolf".

    Any additional comments?

It was too fantastical, not realistic, but I like the Mckenzies.

Halloween - with its tricks and treats - is a dust bunny's dream come true. Just ask Lyle, Sedona Snow's faithful sidekick. But for Sedona, it's a nightmare. Though her new job managing a small hotel and tavern on Rainshadow is helping her move on from her tragic past, a bizarre disaster down in the catacombs has brought a pack of rowdy ghost hunters to her inn. And now, Sedona's ex has arrived on the island, claiming he wants to get back together, just as a newcomer appears to have a strong interest in her.

What did you love best about The Hot Zone?

The story was interesting. I like that the dust bunny did not have such a big roll in the story as they have in other stories. It is fun to see how Ms. Krentz/Castle has invented and developed her own world.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Hot Zone?

It is interesting to see how Jayne Ann Krentz/Castle weaves all the characters of the two main families together in the books covering the centuries.

Would you be willing to try another one of Barbara Rosenblat’s performances?

I have listened to Ms. Rosenblat's performances before, but I did not think she was suited to this story and its characters. I found it hard to figure out the characters, as they all spoke with the same harsh voice. I was disappointed in the complete performance.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    No.

    Any additional comments?

I wish Ms. Krentz/Castle would take more time to develop the characters, give them more depth. The books have become more formula like and shortened. Her earlier books were better in these areas.

It's been thirteen years since Lucy Sheridan was in Summer River. The last time she visited her aunt Sara there, as a teenager, she'd been sent home suddenly after being dragged out of a wild party - by the guy she had a crush on, just to make it more embarrassing.

Would you try another book from Jayne Ann Krentz and/or Amanda Leigh Cobb?

I have both read and listened to many of Jayne Ann Krentz's books. But, I will not willingly listen to another book read by Amanda Leigh Cobb if at all possible.

What did you like best about this story?

I'm not sure there was a best part to like in this story. I like Krentz's books, but all seem to be following the same "formula" but with different names of the characters being the only difference.

How could the performance have been better?

Get another reader! She was so horrible. I had to force myself to finish listening to the story.

Do you think River Road needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No follow-up as the story and characters were not very interesting. The whole story, interaction between characters, and outcome were just like so many of Krentz's other books. I rated the story higher than I should have.

    Any additional comments?

Better character development, different plots and tone down the sex within the first chapter. Let the connection develop, otherwise it feels like the main characters are not likable people, just trashy people.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I don't know of anyone who would enjoy this book.

What was most disappointing about Christiana Miller’s story?

The title was the best part of the book. The whole story and main characters were very off-putting. I tried but only listened to the first 6 chapters and that was hard to do.

What didn’t you like about Marie Rose’s performance?

She could not have improved the story.
