Workaholic attorney Samantha Sweeting has just done the unthinkable. She's made a mistake so huge, it'll wreck any chance of a partnership.

Going into utter meltdown, she walks out of her London office, gets on a train, and ends up in the middle of nowhere. Asking for directions at a big, beautiful house, she's mistaken for an interviewee and finds herself being offered a job as housekeeper. Her employers have no idea they've hired a lawyer and Samantha has no idea how to work the oven.

Susan Solo says: "A wild ride!"

I enjoyed the book, loved the characters, and was sorry to see it end. I thought the beginning moved a bit slow, but after an hour, I couldn't put it down. Can't wait for her next book. Thanks

In the latest from the best selling author of Kiss the Girls and When the Wind Blows, Alex Cross is on the trail of a brilliant criminal known only as the Mastermind. Browse more Patterson.

I didn't like this book, I couldn't get to the point where I saw his characters as real. I had not read any of his other Alex Cross novels, so this stuff with his kids, seemed pointless to me also. I kept thinking if I could make it to the end, then it would all come together. Which it didn't. I'm not a fan of so many senseless killings also.
