The author has talent. But this story is so disjointed. It doesn't flow at all. I swear You will have to stop and take notes just to follow the story line. Oh and their is no main character.
I put it down to a bad editor or acid tripping one. How this drivel ever got published Ill never understand. I didn't finish and wish I could get my credit back..
Warning this book my cause you problems at work and or in your relationships. Because once you start listening you can't stop.
I don't cry over books or movies or even old Hallmark commercials. If this book doesn't blow your mind, then this is the Zombie apocalypse and your patient zero.
I don't know why I keep buying this series. I suppose I'm a glutton for punishment. The first 3 books where good yet Mr Webber seems to has lost his way. The story is too big. There are far too many character to keep up with. Seriously you will have to take notes just to keep track of the massive cast written into this story. I keep hoping that the author will find his way back to sanity like in the first books. But that isn't the case in this series. Nothing new happens at all in this series worth mentioning. In my opinion the problem lies in the fact that most of the characters can have conversations via modern technology across great distance now, so the writer has written himself into a corner. So there isn't any great journeys happening, there is no clock ticking in the background giving urgency to the plot. Its just a leisurely stroll of events nobody breaking a sweat as they battle against the vast multitude all the while to antagonist barely makes an appearance.
Sorry Mr Webber I recommend co-authoring another book with John Ringo
What words can you use to to edify Mr Sanderson. He is a master craft wordsmith with out a doubt. You will not be disappointed (as usual) with this book, only bad thing is we have to wait on the next installment.
Is it done yet?
How about now?
Is it done yet?
Maybe its because some of his other works have been so great that this one just pales in comparison. Or maybe the idea of 13 year old being a one man errr women killing machine is a bit harder to suspend the disbelief.
If only we could teach all history like this book does. The whole world would be better off. It is the stories that draw us in and make history, OUR history more intimate in lieu a bunch of facts and date about old dead men
Book 1 thru 11 our Hero got darker and moodier frankly a bore. Sanderson breathed new life into Rand giving us someone to cheer for instead of simply waiting for the next chapter about Matt
Great story; believable characters the start of another great Epic. Nice twist on all the old myths. Instead of same ole we have been getting like Percy, Red Pyramid etc.
Characters with DEPTH great storyline and plot.
You find yourself wishing you had friends like the Characters in this book.
My Lute My Lute where is my Lute !!!!
Easy prediction Mr Ruthfuss will be known as one of the greats.
