Faith Holland left her hometown after being jilted at the altar. Now a little older and wiser, she's ready to return to the Blue Heron Winery, her family's vineyard, to confront the ghosts of her past, and maybe enjoy a glass of red. After all, there's some great scenery there.... Like Levi Cooper, the local police chief - and best friend of her former fiancé. There's a lot about Levi that Faith never noticed, and it's not just those deep green eyes.

This was really cute...I laughed a lot! From the sample, I was afraid I would hate the narrator, but she wasn't bad. I liked her male voices.

Nineteen-year-old Avery Delacorte loves the water. Growing up in Brookline, Massachusetts, she took swim lessons at her community pool and captained the local team; in high school, she raced across bays and sprawling North American lakes. Now a sophomore on her university's nationally ranked team, she struggles under the weight of new expectations, but life is otherwise pretty good. Perfect, really.

As a romance, I wouldn't rate this highly at all. I was very disappointed. I do like that it was clean.

However, the story was interesting. It was sad. The writing was very good, but there were a few plot holes and I didn't love Avery, the main character.

Luke Boone doesn't know exactly what his uncle Rust is involved in, but he wants in on it - the cars, the money, the women. And it looks like he's finally getting his wish. When Rust hands him the managerial keys to the garage, they come with a second set - one that opens up the door to tons of cash and opportunity. Though it's not exactly legal, Luke's never been one to worry about that sort of thing. Especially when it puts him behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 and onto the radar of a gorgeous socialite named Rain.

** mild ending spoiler alert **

One one hand, I want to give this book 5 stars. I had a hard time putting it down. I loved the characters and the story. The narrators were awesome.

But, rating this as a romance, I am disappointed. There wasn't much chemistry b/w the H and h and the ending was a huge disappointment. It was abrupt and really only a "happy for now," with no declarations of any kind. If I knew there would be a second book with the same characters, I might rate this one higher.

I love the author's writing style, mostly. There are no cliches or cheesy nonsense.

For four years, Grace Sullivan wrote to a Marine she never met, and fell in love. But when his deployment ended, so did the letters. Ever since that day, Grace has been coasting, academically and emotionally. The one thing she's decided? No way is Noah Jackson - or any man - ever going to break her heart again.

Pair skaters Courtney and Mark have one shot left at their Olympic dream. They vow not to let anything get in their way, especially not Josh and Stephanie, the wealthy and talented brother and sister team. The heart doesn't always listen to reason, though. The more time Courtney spends with sweet, shy Josh, the harder she falls for him.

I did finish this book, so I guess that counts for something. The actual story was decent. The writing was not good, though. There was an over use of adverbs and that drove me insane. Lily was a very boring character. She is described as being feisty in the description, but she is not.

The narrator did a pretty good job with the men's voices, but his female voices were horrible. Lily sounded like an automaton.

I liked this sweet story. It was based on "insta-love," though, and I prefer a build up. The narrator was very good, except his voice for Matthew made him sound like a 65 year old man. That is my biggest pet peeve with narrators. I hate for young characters to sound old. I also didn't like his voice for Adam, Matthew's dad. He sounded 100 years old and like he was on death's door every second he spoke.

When a phone call brings news that she’s inherited a beautiful old home in Mendocino, California from a long-forgotten aunt, she moves her entire life across the country to embark on what she sees as a great, romance-novel-worthy adventure. But romance novels always have a twist, don’t they? There’s a cowboy, one that ignites her loins. Because Cowboy Hank is totally loin-ignition worthy. But there’s also a librarian, Clark Barrow. And he calls her Vivian. Can tweed jackets and elbow patches compete with chaps and spurs?

This book is, perhaps, the biggest disappointment of the year. Wallbanger is one if my top 3 reads of all time. This book was boring, crude, had a super annoying, unlikeable heroine, and had no chemistry between the H & h. With one hour left in the book, Viv was still wanting the cowboy. This read more like Chick Lit. The romance was lacking tremendously. I didn't care what happened to them by the end. :-( The narrator was pretty good. She is too breathy, though.
