This was a great story and well narrated by the author, she performed all the voices really well but I especially like the soft spoken but forthright protagonist. And Dr. Avid Byron was really well done too.
I almost did not purchase this book because of some of the negative reviews but am really glad I didn't cave to the nay sayers. I don't know *where* some of these mean people get off. Is there a lot of minutia about butterfly's? Yes. But for me, who is interested in understanding WHY climate change is occuring, it was riveting. Well done Ms. Kingsolver.
This book was long on guided meditation. An audio book that is long on silence is, um, a bit of a waste of money. I listen to my books while driving or working out, relaxing my eyelids and practicing deep breathing was out of the question. Some parts of the occasional lecture were informative but the narrator's habit of practicing hypnotic, trance inducing speech was not good while negotiating rush-hour traffic.
