Ready for a story? Here's a selection of some of the finest science fiction shorts of recent years, including stories from Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, William Gibson, Robert Sheckley, Terry Bisson, Avram Davidson, and Philip K. Dick.

Nikki says: "Great stories, bad narration"
"Get someone else to Tell Me a Story."
    Overall

The reading is not very professional, and the collection of stories seems hap-hazard and somewhat dated. However, the William Gibson contribution is a rare short story.

Walter Gilman did not know when he moved into the Witch House that had been inhabited by old Keziah Mason, convicted of witchcraft in 1692 that his dreams would be haunted by Keziah and her evil friends. Somehow Keziah Mason escaped and disappeared from Salem Goal where she was being held. The goaler, or jailer went absolutely mad. Residents of the legend-haunted city of Arkham, claimd to see old Keziah Mason and the small white- fanged furry thing that accompanied Keziah, along with an eerie glow when they appeared.

Craig Maull says: "Good narrator, Just not a great fit."

What didn’t you like about Mike Vendetti’s performance?

The narrator was unable to pronounce many common works like 'arabesque,' 'juxtapose,' and (importantly) 'Necronomicon.'

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

This is classic Lovecraft; it deserves a first rate performance

The problem with this piece is two-fold. (a) the sound quality is uneven and (b) the poems are read without including the Title or Author. So, unless you already know the material, you're on your own.
