The way grown, hard men go all soft and protective when their heart is lost. I thought this one was actually better than the first. I love that it carries on so everything is completely clear and well explained.
None, cause I've never read anything like these books before.
When the three of them realise that they have no choice! No spoilers, see?
I'm glad that I enjoyed this one more than the first and it makes me be a bit more OK with the things that disturb me a little.
Yes I would listen to it again and again!
There were so many of them, but maybe when Sophie is asking Devon to "rescue" Nick.
JD makes it come alive. He completes each and every one of the books in this series and I think this is his best one yet. His steady pace full of heart-pulling, stomach-wrenching pure, raw feeling completely floored me.JD is all male and brings it to the overall presence for both male and female characters. He doesn't have to try to imitate a female, just the changes he applies are more than enough to feel the women, and I love to hear his voice pouring put the men's feelings and thoughts. This series was written for him to narrate!
When Sophie askes Devon to rescue Nick; when Nick goes completely "x*?$/"; even Mark, when he just picks Sophie up! All of it moved me from beginning to end. I don't want to include any spoilers!
Sharon Hamilton is a wonderful writer. I think she really outdid herself with this one because it made me laugh, made me cry, made me ache and made me sigh... and even though I suffered intensely... I WANT MORE!
I loved the story, it was full of action and romantic as hell. It kept me going, building up and hoping and...we'll it had me all the way. I have just seen that second book is now available and I AM ON IT!!!!!
Cal Lansdown because he is just so yummy although I really did like no nonsense Christie too.
His raw, sexy and amazing voice. He made the seals, especially Cal even more "MAN" if that is possible. He completed it for me. I think a voice like that might be illegal, lol.
I purchased it on offer but would have gladly used a credit for it.
I really didn't like this one compared to the two previous ones. I found this one to be even more disturbing and found that even as the story went on it didn't make me feel better as the first two did. This one is just a no no. The only good thing is Freddie Bates narration!
I found it a bit sick. Don't want to spoil it though.
The very last few minutes but it left me asking whether everything would go back to the usual disturbing behaviour.
No. I don't think I could handle it.
If she had gone a different way with this book then I would have been interested to see what happens in relation to the previous two books. Sorry, but I should have just stuck to the first two!
The whole thing. The narration by the English guy was so over the top and really awful. The American guy was better and has quite a sexy voice but droned on a bit. The story is absolute rubbish. I got it cheap so it doesn't matter. I've often wondered how people could give such horrible reviews when I may have enjoyed a particular book, BUT NOW I KNOW!!! This is awful!
Written it in Braile (which I can't read) so I could have made up my own story using my own imagination!
I certainly wouldn't want to listen to any of my favourite narrators reading this kind of rubbish.
Cloe, Sara and the English guy, that would be 3 out of 4!
Waste of money. I'm so sorry but I just can't help mysef.
What the heck?
Ryan breaking down and telling Holly what is really wrong with him.
The three brothers although he's quite OK with Holly too!
I wouldn't say moved, but more like shocked. I don't want to spoil it but I almost stopped listening because it really was too much for me, but I decided to give it a chance and found that it was softened toward the end. BUT STILL be warned that the content is very strong.
Had I realised before buying I probably wouldn't have bought it, but I did enjoy the story on the whole and it was a good story. Need to listen to the next one now cause I'm intreagued to see where this will all lead.
Eva Kaminsky of course. She just knows how to deliver a book, at least the Sullivans series. She completely has these stories tamed because her voice is so great that she will draw you in whether you want her to or not.
Both Jake and Sophie. Well, Sophie because she really is a gentle woman at heart and she goes through a bit of a rebellious streak which as you will read comes with a price but you can't help but love her. Then there is Jake! A real man's man, who's had a hard life which makes him savy and stupid at the same time, like most men (not wanting to offend anyone!) They really just don't get women and I don't know if we're just as bad, but I think not.
The same kind of scene in most romances... the one where the guy realises how he feels and the way they have no shame in going after what they want, I love that!
He didn't stand a chance because she knew they were meant to be together!
Just getting ready for the next one.
This is no way something I would usually choose, but being a MacLeod Andrews fan and seeing him get so excited about this book I just had to give it a chance. OMG that was a really good and enjoyable book and OMG MacLeod just made it amazing!!!! What I mostly loved about the story was that even though there are complexities of a Sci-Fi nature, well, complexities for me cause I never usually get that kind of stuff; it was amazingly easy to follow and understand. The bad guys are bad and the good guys are really good, funny, warm and just loveable. Thought provoking at times and action-packed for the remainder.
It did touch my heart because of the loss carried by David within his heart for so many years. But, really, it was how just a few can really make a big difference when against all odds.
Have I???? Yes I have and he is ALWAYS amazing, never lets me down. He's a really talented young man, really gifted and I'm so glad that I can just listen to that amazing voice any time I want. He was so perfect for this narration. His voice portrayed every emotion splashed on the pages he read. I'm sure that Brandon Sanderson will be extremely happy to see how well MacLeod delivered his baby!
I laughed a lot, cried a couple of times, but mostly, felt my heart full of hope for humanity. That probably sounds a bit silly but it's what I felt. This book is full of heroes and with the world being what it is today, listening to MacLeod read this book has been the perfect evasion for me.
Well worth the credit. The story is so entertaining even if it normally isn't your cup of tea, well written and the narration will completely envelope you. More than worth the credit in my mind! It will not disappoint.
It would be in my, what a lovely, romantic, lift me up story pile.
When Cuddles misses Zach and vice versa. I can just imagine the big man missing the tiny little Yorkie especially when his heart feels so fragile at that moment.
I think she brings it ALL!!! She's a wonderful narrator. So creative, so believable so talented. She makes the story and the characters come alive!
Well it made me laugh and cry. I think the characters were meant to be and it was just a very enjoyable book, through and through!
Ready for the next one!!!
What A Man!
Gabe of course. I loved Megan and Summer, but Gabe, oh boy, unbelievable steamy sensibility. Gabe is every woman's dream. He's strong, naughty, sensitive, sexy, risqué and just so, so yummy.
Eva has incredible talent. What a voice. I love they way she makes the female characters come to life. I love that when she does the talking parts and makes the females so adorable. Her voice has significant changes from "Narration" mode to "Speech" mode. Totally professional. Perfect for these novels.
All of it. Sorry. Megan disarms Gabe right from the beginning. He tries to fight it but always thinking of her and her daughter. She has internal demons always comparing him to Dave and I guess that when the realisation hits her that Gabe is so much more, is perhaps my favourite part.
You will laugh, perhaps cry but most of all you will sigh a dreamy sigh and think what every woman thinks, "where in the heck is my Gabe!"
