The Covenant has collapsed after a long, brutal war that saw billions slaughtered on Earth and her colonies. For the first time in decades, however, peace finally seems possible. But though the fighting's stopped, the war is far from over: it's just gone underground. The UNSC's feared and secretive Office of Naval Intelligence recruits Kilo-Five, a team of ODSTs, a Spartan, and a diabolical AI to accelerate the Sangheili insurrection.

Where does Halo: Glasslands rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

So far this is my second least favorite of the Halo books (the flood is my least favorite).

If you’ve listened to books by Karen Traviss before, how does this one compare?

This is my first book by Karen Travis.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Hard to say. It was probably one of the scenes with Admiral Parangosky.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, but I did enjoy it.

    Any additional comments?

I really didn't like the way Dr. Halsey was written. Chief Mendez either. Pretty jarring change from Ghost of Onyx.

While the Master Chief defends a besieged Earth, and the myriad factions of the Covenant continue their crusade to eliminate humanity, an ultra-secret cell of the Office of Naval Intelligence, known as Section Three, devises a plan to buy the UNSC vital time. They're going to need hundreds of willing soldiers, though...and one more Spartan to get the job done.

Yes. Will listen to it again with my Son's after I finish other books in the series.

What did you like best about this story?

    The characters.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The secret meeting where they first started planning the Spartan 3 program was one of my favorites.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Don't know right now.

    Any additional comments?

    Missed Todd McLaren.

Halo has been destroyed, and the threat it posed to sentient life neutralized. But victory has come at a terrible cost for the UNSC. Thousands of valiant soldiers fell in the battle to prevent the alien construct from falling into the enemy's clutches. Now, everything depends on the Spartan known as the Master Chief.
