What did you like about this audiobook?

Informative- information everyone should know but sadly won't

How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?

Yes a real eye opener stuff schools should be teaching or presenting but sadly will not.

Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?

    Yes

Do you have any additional comments?

Similar to salt, sugar, fat both books should be required reading unless of course you enjoy being sick and headed for an early death. Will open your eyes to the crap you are feeding your kids and to be blunt why the youth of today are fat and lazy. You will be sickened by how badly you have been fooled by the food companys or should i say cigarette company's that switched industrys.

In July 1995, San Jose Mercury-News reporter Gary Webb found the Big One - the blockbuster story every journalist secretly dreams about - without even looking for it. A simple phone call concerning an unexceptional pending drug trial turned into a massive conspiracy involving the Nicaraguan Contra rebels, L.A. and Bay Area crack cocaine dealers, and the Central Intelligence Agency.

What made the experience of listening to Dark Alliance the most enjoyable?

Learning of the events I have read a lot about growing up this book tied them all together. what i previously thought were separate issues were actually one big one and are simply amazing. If you had any doubt some operate above the law this should settle that position once and for all. If you grew up during the Reagan years and remember the headlines this book will fill in many blanks. Well researched and written it is a powerful example that anything goes when people with power want to get something done. Scary and confirms many things I already believed. If you love history, documentaries, corruption and the manipulation of power its all here. Bravo to the author for a well crafted story if true its simple to hard to believe

Richard A. Clarke warned America once before about the havoc terrorism would wreak on our national security-and he was right. Now he warns us of another threat, silent but equally dangerous. Cyber War is a powerful book about technology, government, and military strategy; about criminals, spies, soldiers, and hackers.

The Only Thing Worth Dying For chronicles the most important mission in the early days of the Global War on Terror, when the men on the ground knew little about the enemy - and their commanders in Washington knew even less. With unprecedented access to surviving members of ODA 574, key war planners, and Karzai himself, award-winning author Eric Blehm cuts through the noise of politicians and high-level military officials to narrate, for the first time, a story of uncommon bravery and terrible sacrifice.

Would you try another book from Eric Blehm and/or P.J. Ochlan?

    always

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Hard to say without giving anything away, Amazing we have people like this in the military who go largely unnoticed. Sad also to see we still have cowards in positions of power that have more ego than honor. The story was very narrowly focused on this group and there activities saying much more would give stuff away. a good read

Do you think The Only Thing Worth Dying For needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

    no

Keeping others safe is what Caleb Montgomery does. He's never had a problem taking on an assignment, whether it was during his dangerous SEAL days or his most recent job of training war mercenaries. But being assigned to keep Brynna Vincent and her adorable daughters, Maddie and Josie, safe from an unknown threat has thrown Caleb off his axis. Hot for the tall brunette since she came back to town more than a year ago, being close to her day in and day out is cracking Caleb's resolve to keep his hands off her gorgeous body and his head in the mission.

Would you try another book from Kristen Proby and/or Jennifer Mack and Eric Michael Summerer ?

This book was just stupid i figured with all the great reviews Id give it a shot boy what a mistake. Characters so average and a plot so overused I'm surprised it was published. Maybe Kristin Proby hit it out of the park on other books but I just want to erase the few chapters i listened to from my brain.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    sad i lost a credit

What did you love best about Red Sparrow?

A very well crafted story and one that will have you guessing until the end. Characters are very complex and the author is very skilled at describing the subject matter and taking you into this world. Its been a long time since I have read a book that I have had no idea were it will go and it was fun to just listen and be along for the ride. Book is long and I never once felt bored or knew what would happen, and thats rare these days. The Narration was well done and Im really looking forward to a follow up. I rarely give out five stars or write reviews but this booked certainly warranted writing about. If you love spy novels this one is first rate and far better than most of the stuff thats churned out and poorly done in the categories.
A book for me has to be real life and extraordinary for me to give five stars and that is the only reason this book is not five stars.

Who was your favorite character and why?

all were good in different ways

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

no blockbuster moments the author was skilled enough to build the plot continuously until its end.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Seabiscuit was a runaway success, and Hillenbrand’s done it again with another true-life account about beating unbelievable odds. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared.....

Would you consider the audio edition of Unbroken to be better than the print version?

This book and Fearless the story of Adam Brown are the best books I have ever heard or read. Both will make you feel rather small in this world and both will have your complete attention the entire time.
In both books it's more about the character and sheer force of will that amazes just read it and don't think about it. It has a five star rating for good reason.

Thanks to paper-thin walls and the guy’s athletic prowess, Carolyn is gaining an - um - intimate knowledge of her new neighbor's nocturnal adventures. And since Caroline is currently on a self-imposed "dating hiatus," and her neighbor is clearly lethally attractive to women, she finds her fantasies keep her awake even longer than the noise. So when the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts Simon Parker, her heard-but-never-seen neighbor.

First half was just laugh after laugh to listen to but the second half just slowed to a crawl, didn't finish it . Too bad the first half was so funny the time just flew bye. Was worth the credit and I can't say that about any other book I didn't finish.

Hard to go wrong with Demille and this book was very good. The only thing that was missing was the humor and wise ass remarks that make his characters a little rough around the edges and very funny. Dont get me wrong thier was some of that but it was not as good as other corey books. Mr corey was more entertaining as a single guy than a husband and the only reason I would give it four stars and not five is it was a little predictable in parts, which is unusal for a nelson demille novel. Worth every penny and Im looking forward to the next one. If you have not read or listened to any of his novels you are missing out especially if your a guy.Its nice to read characters that are not worried about being politically correct and speak their mind.Demille is still one of my favorite authors.
