Michael was in a hurry. He was scrambling up the ladder at Drake & Sweeney, a giant D.C. firm with 800 lawyers. The money was good and getting better; a partnership was 3 years away. He was a rising star with no time to waste, no time to stop, no time to toss a few coins into the cups of panhandlers. No time for a conscience. But a violent encounter with a homeless man stopped him cold. Also available abridged.

Where does The Street Lawyer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best I've listened to.

What did you like best about this story?

In true Grisham fashion, it kept you guessing until the end. I had an idea how it would end, but there was an extra little twist!

Everyone knows confidence when they see it; but seemingly no one can actually describe what goes into it or how to get it. The Nerd's Guide to Being Confident is an unconventional way of looking at one of the most basic and obvious human traits and what one can do to gain a little more of it without feeling like a phony. Laughter included.

What would have made The Nerd's Guide to Being Confident better?

This listen was offensive. Too bad because there MAY have been some good information. However, what I listened to didn't match my values. I discontinued listening.

What could Mark Manson have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Cut the profanity. It didn't make him sound more intelligent!

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointed

What did you love best about Steve Jobs?

Walter Isaacson is a great biographer, and this is a wonderful book. Steve Jobs was an amazing genious. Isaacson doesn't sugar coat the story, thougth. He tells it all--the positive and the quirky aspect of Jobs' personality.

Have you listened to any of Dylan Baker’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. The narration was very well done. It was easy to listen to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Very touching. This is one I'll long remember.

    Any additional comments?

    I highly recommend this book.
