Beautifully wrought, stunningly original, Jennifer Haigh's sparkling debut marks the arrival of a remarkable new talent.

Colleen O'Rourke is in love with love…just not when it comes to herself. Most nights, she can be found behind the bar at the Manningsport, New York, tavern she owns with her twin brother, doling out romantic advice to the lovelorn, mixing martinis, and staying more or less happily single. Ten years ago Lucas Campbell, her first love, broke her heart - an experience Colleen doesn't want to have again, thank you very much. Since then, she's been happy with a fling here and there, some elite-level flirting, and playing matchmaker to her friends. But a family emergency has brought Lucas back to town....

Would you listen to Waiting on You again? Why?

This is a wonderful series, I would highly recommend it.

What other book might you compare Waiting on You to and why?

I usually don't compare one author to another.

What about Amy Rubinate’s performance did you like?

Amy Rubinate's performance absolutely made this series.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed so hard in places that I had to explain it to those that couldn't hear it, and I cried toward the end. It is a great series of books, please listen!!

But when their beloved father fails ill, Meredith and Nina find themselves together again, standing alongside their cold, disapproving mother, Anya, who even now, offers no comfort to her daughters

It is 1940 and a tragedy sends Lou and her little brother, Oz, along with their invalid mother, from New York City to the rugged mountains of Southwest Virginia to live with their great-grandmother. The story is told with both heartbreaking elegance and large doses of touching humor as the lives of Lou and Oz are changed forever.
