"It was a beautiful, breezy, yellow-and-green afternoon..." This is how Abby Whitshank always begins the story of how she fell in love with Red that day in July 1959. The Whitshanks are one of those families that radiate togetherness: an indefinable, enviable kind of specialness. But they are also like all families, in that the stories they tell themselves reveal only part of the picture.

I didn't know what to expect by the title but I would highly recommend this book. The only thing that was wrong with it is that it ended too soon.

When Desdemona Wainwright tries to collect a much-needed payment for catering Sam Stark's canceled wedding reception, she encounters not a heartbroken suitor, but the steel-willed head of a multimillion-dollar consulting firm with the cold brain of a computer - and the finely hewn body of a medieval knight. Sam sees a beautiful, theatrical hoyden with huge turquoise eyes who has the right professional catering skills he needs for his business.

Would you consider the audio edition of Leaving Time to be better than the print version?

Yes, because the narrator is magnificent.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

This is a long book which I enjoy very much. This book keeps you wanting to listen to the next sentence, paragraph, next chapter. It's so interesting and it keeps you thinking and wandering and guessing what is next throughout the intire book.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

The narrator is perfect. I have stopped listening to what I would consider good books because I couldn't get past the narrators voice, it just didn't fit the characters.

If you could rename Leaving Time, what would you call it?

    I wouldn't change it!! It's perfect.

    Any additional comments?

A super good book, wish there were more like it!

Laura Brandon's promise to her dying father was simple: to visit an elderly woman she'd never heard of before. A woman who remembers nothing-except the distant past. Visiting Sarah Tolley seemed a small enough sacrifice to make. But Laura's promise results in another death: her husband's. And after their five-year-old daughter, Emma, witnesses her father's suicide, Emma refuses to talk about it - to talk at all.Frantic and guilt ridden, Laura contacts the only person who may be able to help.

What made the experience of listening to Breaking the Silence the most enjoyable?

You know that there has got to be more to the story but you just can't figure out what it is. I listened to every last word of this book and it took more twists and turns, and they were all very feasible story lines, not something that you would find hard to imagine.

What did you like best about this story?

That its based on events that really happened. Maybe not exactly as told in this story, but the thread of the story is based on facts.

What does Justine Eyre bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is a good narrator, she told the story well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    absolutely.

    Any additional comments?

Because of this book I will listen to other books by this author, and I will recommend this book and author to others.

Colleen O'Rourke is in love with love…just not when it comes to herself. Most nights, she can be found behind the bar at the Manningsport, New York, tavern she owns with her twin brother, doling out romantic advice to the lovelorn, mixing martinis, and staying more or less happily single. Ten years ago Lucas Campbell, her first love, broke her heart - an experience Colleen doesn't want to have again, thank you very much. Since then, she's been happy with a fling here and there, some elite-level flirting, and playing matchmaker to her friends. But a family emergency has brought Lucas back to town....

What other book might you compare Waiting on You to and why?

I usually don't compare one author to another.

What about Amy Rubinate’s performance did you like?

Amy Rubinate's performance absolutely made this series.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed so hard in places that I had to explain it to those that couldn't hear it, and I cried toward the end. It is a great series of books, please listen!!
