Excellect, the best book i have read for years. It shows how far we have come in such a short time but it also shows how much further we have to go.

The book is a must not only for Americans (I am not American) becuase the world must stop judging and start embracing.

I loved this book. I read this book before I read The Da Vinci Code but after reading it I was compelled to read The Da Vinci Code (which I loved as a fiction novel).

This book, to my view, is written is a very non-biased way. It is impossible to tell if the author is Christian of non-Christian. He just tells it the way it is according to current records. Unfortunately for The Da Vinci Code, current recordes do NOT match with its story.

But lets be real.... both books have a purpose and that is that they get the Christian and non-christian population talking about the life of Jesus Christ.

This book is the biggest waste of money and full of lies. I think it was written in the forties by a man who thought that a womens place was in the kitchen or bedroom and not standing next to her partner or by herself.

If you dont read the bible and dont have a brain you might like this book but for me...I ripped it up and put it in the rubbish. For my mother..she did the same.

Dont waste your money.

The title promised so much but the content did not deliver.

The review read: "As with her other deliciously gossipy biographies in this series, author Kathleen Krull tantalizes us with a feast of information that lets the listener peek behind the scenes of these extraordinary lives."

NOT TRUE. There was not tantalizing and no feast of information; at best it was a petty gloss over of these incredible women of history.

Some of these women acted in ways that could be considered weak or stupid into today's terms but the author does not give this insight. This oversight detracts from the lives these women lived and the times in which they lived them.

Also, the way it is read is in a very condescending manner which I found even more annoying than the content.

This is a great book if you are a man who loves war and thinks that courage is only about acts of war.

Courage is not only a ?man? thing and it is not only an ?American? thing.

The title should read ?Why War Matters?.

All the other people that have reviewed this book have captured the content of the book very well. The only thing I have to add is that this is a book about an extraordinary man, with all of the horror he was subjected to he still remained a wonderful human. He is not bitter and does not hate the people who subjected him to these unspeakable acts, instead he tries to find the good or humor in their acts.

This book humbled me; I used to get upset when someone took my parking spot, or cut into my queue but now I smile as I have never had to endure real horror or injustice.

A must read for anyone in business (any type of business). It is read by the author, which adds to the impact. It is honest, eye opening and really make you think. Listen to this book and it WILL change the way your business markets its product and services and if it does not you will soon be out of business.

I could not get into to this book due to the 'old world' english. This is the first book that i could not listen to, and i have listened to over 70. After 15 mins I turned it off. Maybe if I had the time to sit down and listen to it but i listen to my audio on the go so I found this book too heavy for this stlye of listening. I have heard it is a great book but i think it is not a good book for audio.

A book EVERY woman should read, and for that matter evey man. I will never look at my body in the same way agian and for that I am glad.

I have a very young daughter and this is the first book I will share with her when she is a little older. I feel that if every girl read this we would truly have a lot less confused teenage girls who grow into selfconsience women.

It made me honoured to be a woman.
