I am moving through the entire series, in order. Can't wait for Will Trent to ditch his awful wife and become a man.
After purchasing the book I thought I made a mistake but NO, this book was outstanding.
Loved the narration, story line(s) and interaction with characters. You could almost feel the surroundings. Well worth the time and price.
Really good book but narrator is not very good. Easy to get past because the story is intriguing. So many twists and just when you think you have it figured out, NOPE, wrong again.
This narrator should never try to do all the voices. The men sounded like they had smokers voices. Just awful.
This book answered many questions about Lena's life so that was good.
Sara was portrayed as a weak, sniveling wife. In the other books she is clearly a strong woman and that is much better since she is a physician and must be strong to endure all she has gone through.
Everytime Jeffrey made a move as a police officer and took a chance Sara squealed like a little girl that she was afraid he would get hurt. Good grief, he is a POLICE man not a librarian.
If you do not have anything else to read, then take a chance; if there is anything else in your library pass on this one.
There were many twists and turns with this book. Good story line but again, you need to begin the series from the beginning if possible.
The narrator sounded like Martha Stewart. I guess if you can get past that she is ok but I just could not. I will stay away from Shannon Cockran's narration in the future.
Very good book and classic Karin Slaughter
Very good but just how lucky can one guy be. Will Trent must have 9 lives.
Again, start Karin Slaughter's series from the beginning and you will want to hear them all. I actually like to travel now since I can listen to her books. I opt to travel alone so I will not be interrupted with mindless chatter and can enjoy these books.
I was unsure if I liked this book at all but then......it all comes together. I do not normally like a book that flips back and forth from past to present but it was necessary with this book.
I almost like Amanda now. Also, I am close to Amanda's age as the book portrays her. As a professional woman I can relate to the road blocks she faced in her career but I have a really hard time seeing her being controlled by her father and taking the crap she took from the guys on the force.
Will Trent's background is crazy and this book explains it all.
WONDERFUL BOOK Start Karin Slaughters series with the first and you will be hooked.
With every book by Karin Slaughter I am amazed. I THINK so far Broken is my favorite. I am a long time mystery reader and almost always figure out the bad guy before the middle of the book. Not with any of Karin Slaughter's books.
Begin the series with the first book and then you cannot stop listening.
Love the Will Trent character. I almost did not listen to this since I was on a long trip and wanted a book that would keep my attention. So happy I listened.
Very good book. Nice change from authors I usually listen to. Well worth the time.
