In the summer of 1942, a band of citizen soldiers were brought together by the desire to be better than the other guy. At its peak, Easy Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army, was as good a rifle company as any in the world. From their rigorous training in Georgia in 1942 through Utah Beach, Market-Garden, the Bulge, and Hitler's Eagle's Nest, WWII historian Stephen Ambrose tells the story of this remarkable company.

Would you consider the audio edition of Band of Brothers to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version, but it is better than the Kindle version.

What did you like best about this story?

You get to follow some of if not the best soldiers of WWII from training through Normadie and all the way to the Eagle's Nest.

What about Cotter Smith’s performance did you like?

It is hard to find fifteen words to answer with. He read it very well.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Again I must fill the space of fifteen words before giving my two: not really.

    Any additional comments?

One two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen. Not really.

They call me the Spider. I'm the most feared assassin in the South -- when I'm not busy at the Pork Pit cooking up the best barbecue in Ashland. As a Stone elemental, I can hear everything from the whispers of the gravel beneath my feet to the vibrations of the soaring Appalachian Mountains above me. My Ice magic also comes in handy for making the occasional knife. But I don't use my powers on the job unless I absolutely have to. Call it professional pride.

Lauren Fortgang's narration. The book would have been cool to read, but was made sarcastically cool by her.

    Gin Blanco - the Spider

In the violent country of Ludania, the language you speak determines what class you are, and there are harsh punishments if you forget your place - looking a member of a higher class in the eye can result in immediate execution. Seventeen-year-old Charlaina (Charlie for short) can understand all languages, a dangerous ability she's been hiding her whole life. Her only place of release is the drug-filled underground club scene, where people go to shake off the oppressive rules of the world they live in.
