Ayn Rand here sets forth the moral principles of Objectivism, the philosophy that holds human life - the life proper to a rational being - as the standard of moral values and regards altruism as incompatible with human nature, with the creative requirement of survival, and with a free society.

    Scott says: "Rand Lovers Only"

Apologia for sociopathy. Brilliant and pitifully misguided.

Want to know why the modern world is such a mess? Read this for a description of how to get there. "The Fountainhead" is another. For the comic book version, save some time and hair-pulling and read "Anthem."

The term "ethics" when referring to Ayn Rand is Orwellian.

Stephen King and Peter Straub reintroduce you to Jack Sawyer of The Talisman, once a precocious boy traversing the Territories to save his mother and her "twinner," now a retired homicide detective drawn back to his past.

Jennifer says: "Magnificent Sequel -- Riveting"
    "Great book, great narrator"
    Overall

I listened to this book before The Talisman, the prior title in the series. Both are read by Frank Muller, certainly one of the best narrators (unfortunately no longer working).

This book started me on a Stephen King binge. An exciting, mysterious "page-turner."

For the three years Shadow spent in prison, all he wanted was to get back to the loving arms of his wife and stay out of trouble for the rest of his life. But days before his release, he learns that his wife has been killed in an accident, and his world becomes a colder place.

Joseph says: "Amazing, powerful book about America."
    "Excellent"
    Overall

Fun, mysterious, thought provoking. Was originally attracted to this author because of his friendship with Tori Amos.

This is a surprising and engaging story with a light-hearted critique of our times.

Would like to see moreof his work.
