A rare bird, this book lives up to its hype. The examples and breadth of subject matter is breathtaking. Surely this must have taken years to write. The breakdown of categories is a marvel. It has moved me to rethink a world of assumptions.
Jack Frost is, as far as I can tell, sui generis. He's apparently not handsome, he's a messy guy, he's not appreciated by his superiors, his intelect is downplayed, his relationships with subordinates is understated, and all sorts of other characteristics that are not found elsewhere. His humor is handled well and the humor is a relief from most mysteries. More from this author, please.
