"Excellent content"
Excellent content but the reading is a bit monotonous and not converstational. So at times I dozed off.
how the crucifixion was the 4th cup and consummation of the Passover Seder.
Read the book like he was talking to someone. Not just reading it to himself aloud. Monotonous at times.
no
Very good solid Christian teaching that will motiviate you to live in a more Christ Like way.
"You need to behave or else!!!"
If you think God is all lovey dovey and forgives everything no matter what -- listen to this. What happened in Jerusalem is a good reminder that if God will do this to Jerusalem and the Israelites -- he won't spare anyone who spurns the blood of His Son Jesus. It will put a new spin on why you should fear God. Very sobering what happens in this book.
When the woman cooks her baby in a stew and offers it to the Roman Centurion who couldn't believe what was happening.
Excellent converstational style -- very engaging.
Yes!
Don't spurn the blood of Jesus - within one generation of Jesus' death (30ad to 70 ad = 40 years) look what Happened to Jerusalem. Serious business!
"I wish I would have applied this 20 years ago..."
In college I learned all about Present Value and Asset Valuation but it seemed to simple to make me rich.
doyyyyyy.
How simple the concept is of treating every investment like an investment instead of speculation.
About why Warren drives a used crappy car... Smart guy!
My cars not sexy but my bank account is!
Loved it -- after reading it I sand the Queen song -- "And bad mistakes -- I've made a few" when I thought of how much money I've wasted in my life.
"Instruction Manual on Interpreting Symbols"
2 Esdras has 7 visions that are in the style of Revelation but they're each fully explained --
So it's kind of a "how to " read revelations for dummies kind of thing.
Too cool -- not sure why protestant bibles decided to pull these books but am glad I finally read them after being a Christian for 20 years.
Angel Uriel - because he teaches how to interpret visions.
I can listen at work.
I was amazed at the visions and the interpretations.
All Christians should read the apocrypha whether or not you believe the pope is the head of the church. Don't let your bias get in the way of understanding God's word.
"After 30 years figured I'd go through the Catechis"
Excellent!
The solid teaching of Christian fundamentals (and a few things that make you go whaaaaaaaa?????)
Excellent way to go through a long book!
The secret to victorious Christian living is getting the fundamentals write and for the most part that's the CCC.
Whether you're Catholic or not this book is a prerequisited for victorious Christian living. I've been in various protestant churches over the last 30 years and no two agree on almost anything. Whether you believe in the Primacy of Peter or not it's irresponible as Christian to not read this. Very solid teaching!
"Christian 20 years never read the Apocrypha"
It was really informative and you can tell it's written by the same author as the "regular" bible.
Regular bible.
All of them.
Protestants may have protested too much!
I recommend this for all non Catholic Christians to read. All the early church Father's quote from this which is why I became curious to read it.
"What Every Christian Knows In Their Gut"
yes - because the Author reads it. So if you work in a cubicle like I do -- it's hard to take a break to read a book. But with the audio version it's like having the author their reading the book to you.
It sheds light on the fact that literal reading of the bible with understanding the spiritual symbols leads to a pretty evilish view of god and that robs hope love and peace from our lives and the lives of others.
It says that God Would have all Men to Be Saved.
The it says that God Is Love.
And finally Love Never Fails.
Which means God will get what he wantes eventually.
A chance to listen during work.
Adam is not more Powerful than Jesus -- In Adam all Sin but in Christ All are saved.
Excellent work.
