You will get past the whiny little kid voice at the beginning soon. I am writing this review after I've listened to probably 20 other audiobooks since then at least, so not the freshest, but an original idea for sure and after seeing the book mentioned in O Magazine, I felt compelled to download and was not dissappointed.

I always am satisfied with my use of a credit on Jodi Picoult. Whatever she decides to teach and tell, it will be worth listening to. If you don't give a flying flip about wolves, don't listen. If you're open to learning new things, want to hear a good story about family dynamics, from Ms. Picoult's perspective, and also some really in-depth info on wolf packs in a way that you will find things to keep doing so you can keep listening, download now. Enjoyed. Typical Jodi Picoult fashion. Like the different narrators, too.

The cashier at Old Navy had on an Atari shirt yesterday. I'm thinking, wow, you need to listen to this book, do you know anything about the company? If you even have an ipod, which I bought an itouch yesterday for one kid and a nano for the other, very much worth listening to the book. Very interesting.

I learned a lot about Oswald that I didn't know and a lot about that period of time. You could feel the environment. Narrator was great, author was great. I think the people rating this book a 1 and I probably do not have the same taste in books at all because this was a very worth-the-credit listen and happy I did so. Enjoy.

I enjoyed this book and was thinking 5, 5, 5 until probably the last third, which wasn't bad, just one that kind of did a great job until the last third, then pulling everything together too quick. Worth the credit, though. I really like this author.

Plus on one of my earliest reviews here on Audible, I expressed the opinion that Scott Brick annoyed me. Man, I wish I could edit my comment and take it back. I don't even rember what book I made the comment on. I LOVE Scott Brick now, and generally take it for granted that if Scott Brick is the narrator, I will enjoy it the book.

This is no Devil in the Junior League, nothing like that, which I loved, loved, and have been checking back to see when Ms. Lee would put something else out. I have listened and/or read her other books, so used one of my credits on this book. I think, myself, of having no knowledge of how a book is published, what editors do, et cetera, was one of the most interesting points of this book, i.e., getting a "good" book supported. Really and truly, enjoyable listen, good story.

All kinds of things woven in the relationships among the characters in this book.

Jodi, you are a fantastic author, I love your work. Please do not hold me hostage with folk songs, they are not making me identify with the character more, I do not feel her more, if anything, I separate from the character and hit fast forward. Yuck. Six hours in, definitely "feel" the book, pulls at your heart strings, makes you smile, all Jodi's typical, but, please no hokey folk songs every so often. I cringe.

That said, if you enjoy Jodi, even though, I have not made it all the way through yet, I feel it has been a good use of one of my monthly credits.

Narrator did great job. I love dry humor, that's half the reason I even settled on this book and so many glowing reviews. No substance, drivel. I agree characters come in and out. Ugghhh!!! I like historical novels, I like vampire books, I wish I would have enjoyed this, I didn't.

I enjoyed this audiobook, and I generally don't have a problem following characters, but there was quite a few in this so that on occasion I was like who is that person? This audiobook I feel like I could go back and listen to it again, and glean more from it. Nelson DeMille's books are always so informative, though, and I always learn a lot along with the story. I was curios to look up Babylon after this book. I had just listened to Spencerville by Nelson DeMille before this one, and I, personally, liked Spencerville more, but this is a good book, too.

It is awesome when I find another author to enjoy, and none of Brian Haig's books have failed me yet. He is kind of a cross between Nelson DeMille and Scott Turrow.
