Eve Dallas is the tough lieutenant hot on his trail, but this is unlike any case she’s ever been assigned - or any killer she’s ever pursued. A police sketch based on eye-witness testimony reveals the killer has green skin, swollen red eyes, goblin ears, and a dislocated jaw-structure that defies the human form. Is it a mask? Is it make-up? Or is the explanation more sinister? Dallas faces off against multiple suspects - all of them students of medicine capable of precisely slicing the ears, noses, and eyes of the three victims.

    L. Reiner says: "In Death Book 33.5 - Not Robb's best, but good"
"A nice change, short but enjoyable."

After surviving a brutal childhood, it's hard work that has brought Melanie Brennan the good things in life: college and being accepted into a prestigious graduate school. Even so, she clings to the belief that it will be magic that will bring her true love. But it's not magic that pulls her into a life or death struggle alongside her too-handsome professor, Andrew Richards, to find evidence to clear him of charges that he blew up his lab to cover fraud.

Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry her ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her “happily ever after” begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect! Well, perfect except that the phone’s owner, businessman Sam Roxton, doesn’t agree.

    "Thoroughly enjoyable book!"
