As one of the greatest rock icons of all time, Gregg Allman has lived it all and then some. For almost 50 years, he's been creating some of the most recognizable songs in American rock, but never before has he paused to reflect on the long road he's traveled. Now, he tells the unflinching story of his life, laying bare the unvarnished truth about his wild ride that has spanned across the years.

If you could sum up My Cross to Bear in three words, what would they be?

    Honest. Intriguing. Soulful.

What was one of the most memorable moments of My Cross to Bear?

    Gregory's long struggle with addiction.

Have you listened to any of Will Patton’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I would have loved to hear Gregory Allman read this book, but Will Patton was a great choice.

Kristin Burns is making her way in New York City. Her photos are being considered at a major Manhattan gallery, she works by day with two wonderful children, and the man of her dreams is almost hers for keeps. But just as everything she's ever wanted is finally within reach, her life changes forever with one murderous nightmare.

While I am an avid James Patterson fan, this book left me feeling like I was listening to a Dean Koontz book. Don't misunderstand me, I really like Koontz. If you listen and read to certain writers, you come to expect a certain style from each one. While it was a suspenseful listen, I have a hard time associating Patterson with the mystical relm. It's worth a listen, but I hope that Patterson goes back to his usually style of writing.
