"Has the next book been released yet? :-)"
I really enjoyed this book because it provided a new paranormal race with a good plot. Olivia was not a totally weak female lead, she had her doubts and suspicions as anyone would. Dageon was okay as the male lead. The build up and setting were nicely done. I suppose if I were to wish for something it would have been a deeper level of psychic gifts with just a bit more action. The intimate encounter for the lead characters had me saying I can't wait until they actually "hookup". When they finally got around to it, it was good but could have been a bit better. ????
"Just can't let people live their lives in peace"
This book was okay, I was hoping for at little more action. I actually started with the second book in this series and quickly realized that I was missing some important information. In this book the ground work has been set and I began to understand the history of the brothers and the childhood memories that shaped them into the men that they have become. It seems that the counsel of elders is keeping secrets and at least one of them has knowledge of what is happening. Nicholas is struggling with his forced "morphos" which heralds in his need to mate or sink into bloodlust or some other form of addiction. Sarah is his mate but of course neither of them knows this. They are forced to struggle with their feelings and fight for what they both want.
"I love Fae stories"
This is book one of the series and I went through it as fast as I could. I actually got really mad at certain events that a young woman was forced to endure by her own mother's fear of what others thought. There are other reasons as well but I will not mention them here because it would give something away that is revealed later in the series. I could not stand the " fianc??" because he was mean and cruel. Then enters the Tairen Soul, king of the Fae. Talk about strong, powerful, and a little crazy...that's him. By the time you really get into this book, you are totally hooked. You begin hoping that something will happen and then it does. Basically this book sets up the next book wonderfully. This is one that I will listen to again.
"Now this is a prime example of a whiner!"
Don't let the whining deter you from this book because as it happens it was a major part of the heroine's development and growth. Although it will get on your nerves, at least it did mine anyway. I wish that the book had started with the mother's battle against evil and the mother-daughter relationship. I felt like something was missing there. This book does not have a romantic relationship in it, although one is eluded to. It's basically about a young woman struggling to find herself, realize her strengths, and having the courage to forge deeper relationships with those around her, while she fights the forces of darkness. There was plenty of fighting and I was able to enjoy the book.
"I really enjoyed this series"
Where to start? The ending came too soon, you know how it is when it gets really good and you wonder what is going to happen next...well that is how I was left feeling. Brothers reunited after years of separation and suffering. A mate found who is strong in both her beliefs and is fierce. I enjoy reading about strong female leads that are not crying, sniffling, and weak waiting on the hero to swoop in and save them. I felt like the hero did a little of that but not too much to make you cringe. Overall this series was good and you should check it out.
"Loved it"
I could not stop listening to this book. It kept my interest the entire time. I cannot wait for the next one.
"Engaging but beware it has a lot of explicit sex"
I really enjoy reading paranormal erotic books so it's no problem for me. I do find that too much whinning gets on my nerves. Beyond that I found this book enjoyable. I found myself looking to see if there was a followup book pertaining to the information on the disk and how it affects the haven...
"Loved it"
Glad to see eve finally learn to deal with her past. Made me shed some tears. Now if she would just learn to be more refined :-)
