What did you love best about James Madison?

The history of how we came to be from a political point of view.

What other book might you compare James Madison to and why?

Liberty & Tyranny by Mark Levine

    Which scene was your favorite?

Washing turning down the offer to be King and not accepting a third term as President. Washington walked away from power.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    No.

    Any additional comments?

It was sometimes tedious to listen to, but the history was more than I could have hoped for. Why in the world do they not teach this stuff in school.

ps I went to a private school, but it was very, very progressive. Yikes!

Could history repeat itself, with one giant entity taking control of American information? Most consider the Internet Age to be a moment of unprecedented freedom in communications and culture. But as Tim Wu shows, each major new medium, from telephone to cable, arrived on a similar wave of idealistic optimism only to become, eventually, the object of industrial consolidation profoundly affecting how Americans communicate.

If you could sum up The Master Switch in three words, what would they be?

    Abuse, abject stupidity.

What did you like best about this story?

Brilliant description of how technology and the human mind combine to bring human kind leaping into the future. A history of brilliance, blind stupidity and government control. The history line is brilliant and I am grateful for the book.

Which character – as performed by Marc Vietor – was your favorite?

    Alexander Bell

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Phone call to my lover.

    Any additional comments?

This is the kind of book that will change the minds and hearts of thinking freedom loving people. If we know who the enemy is, there is a chance to win.

Eastman Kodak declared bankruptcy last week and this week announced they will no long manufacturer digital cameras.

The story of hard work and success, blind ambition, blind stupid ambition, failure to see

Although his father had been reluctant to become a field operative, Jack Ryan Jr. wants nothing more. Privately training with a seasoned Special Forces drill instructor, he’s honing his skills to transition his work within The Campus from intelligence analysis to hunting down and eliminating terrorists wherever he can—even as Jack Ryan Sr. campaigns for re-election as President of the United States. But what neither father nor son knows is that the political and the personal have just become equally dangerous.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The end.

    Story
What did you love best about Ameritopia?

What a history lesson about the people past and present who would tell me how to live my life.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Plato. He gave great thought, time and effort to explain just how stupid and retarded I am.

    Any additional comments?

This book solidified my understanding of how the progressive would like to control my life verses what the Constitution allows the federal government to do. The contrast is stunning and makes me afraid for, not me, but my son, daughter-in-law and three young grandchildren. I am very afraid for them.

If you do not understand what the enemy wants to do to you, you cannot defend yourself against them. The result is tyranny or liberty.
