Workaholic attorney Samantha Sweeting has just done the unthinkable. She's made a mistake so huge, it'll wreck any chance of a partnership.

Going into utter meltdown, she walks out of her London office, gets on a train, and ends up in the middle of nowhere. Asking for directions at a big, beautiful house, she's mistaken for an interviewee and finds herself being offered a job as housekeeper. Her employers have no idea they've hired a lawyer and Samantha has no idea how to work the oven.

I absolutely adore Sophie Kinsella and this one of hers was a riot! The story was not at all believable, but oh so much fun and really different. It was purely silly and zany, and it made me so uncomfortable all at the same time. I thought the narrator was a teeny bit "off" on some of the male character's voices, but I got used to it.

I loved this story so much. Jenna Lamia did such a great job narrating Lily. She was just perfect for the role!

Pi Patel has been raised in a zoo in India. When his father decides to move the family to Canada and sell the animals to American zoos, everyone boards a Japanese cargo ship. The ship sinks, and 16-year-old Pi finds himself alone on a lifeboat with a hyena, an orangutan, a zebra with a broken leg, and a 450-pound Bengal tiger. Soon it's just Pi, the tiger, and the vast Pacific Ocean - for 227 days. Pi's fear, knowledge, and cunning keep him alive until they reach the coast of Mexico, where the tiger disappears into the jungle.

"A great listen rather than read!"
    Overall

I am an avid reader, but I only recently joined audible.com and started listening to books as well. 'Life of Pi' was such a great choice to listen to rather than to read the printed version -- the narration is amazing and really brought life to Pi! I lost myself in the story so many times that I actually didn't mind DC traffic for once. I'll definitely listen to this one again...I can't stop thinking about it!
