In "the most exciting bio of the year," Richard Hack uses recently uncovered (and in some cases, recently declassified) personal letters, court testimony, FBI files, autopsy reports and exclusive interviews to reveal the man who was a legendary lover, record-setting aviator, award-winning film producer, talented inventor, ultimate eccentric, and, for much of his lifetime, the richest man in the United States.

I thought The Last Lion, American Cesar, and John Adams were the best biographies Audible had to offer. I was wrong, Howard Hughes is a must read !

The Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy, the first volume in the five-part Hitchhiker "trilogy" made Douglas Adams a science fiction sensation, and is a must-listen for any and all fans of the genre. Don't forget to bring a towel!

I bought this book in preparation for the upcoming movie. It helped to decide NOT to see the movie. Story line is preposterous, characters vapid, some subtle british humor, and scenes are overwrought with inane descrptions. After finishing the book, my only thought was " Where shall I have lunch ?".

The Rothschilds - the dynamic power family of the 18th century moved from the ghetto to the controlling class of Europe. How? One secret is the power of the family unit, says this enlightening biography. But does wealth really bring happiness? If you equate money with joy, listen to Truth Wealth by Marsha Sinetar.

For anyone interested in biography, high finance and nineteenth century european history this is a must listen. Chronicles the lives of the founding father, five sons and numerous notable descendents and how they amassed untold fortunes. Great story material and stylishly written. My only negative is the narrator has a ,at times hard to understand, british accent.
