"A good short unabridged Kate Wilhelm Story"
A good short unabridged Kate Wilhelm story. I have read 4 others & love her books. They are a good blend of legal problem solving, sleuthing, and enough action to keep the pace up. The more I read the books and became familiar with the charactors, the more I wanted. I recommend it.
"James Patterson succeeds again!"
Great story line and narration. Well paced book, perfect!
"Could not put it down!"
As usual, a fast paced book with well developed characters in the series. I could not put the book down. The narrator is the best, too.
"Charlaine never fails"
As usual, a fast paced book with well developed characters in the series. I could not put the book down. I love the Sookie Stackhouse series!
"the worst reader"
I did not look closely enough to see that it is NOT a sequel to Diplomatic Immunity by Lois M Bujold. The reader is the worst I have ever heard. I have tried 4 times to get into the book, and cannot get past the flat pedantic reading where all the characters sound the same. I always adjust to readers, and this is a first. Too bad, the writing may be ok. The writer has no regard for the talent a good reader can bring to an audio book. It should be re-released with an actor reading it.
"Better and better"
At first, I thought Sookie was a bit too naive as a woman, but her character has evolved along with the others in the series. I now can't wait until the next book and try to dole it out as a treat to myself. I completed this book in two days, and the fast pace at the end kept me up the last night. The series just gets better and better! Thank you Charlaine Harris!
"Fun well written and narrated"
Great characters, adventure with enough humor, action and suspense to make it fun! Perfect escape fiction!
"Dick Francis"
I am a Dick Francis fan because his plots have the balance of mystery, suspense and comfortable characters and at a nice pace. This is a typically good story. My one complaint would be that the reader sounded so much older than the characters.
"Slow Southern comfort-but nice"
Southern accents, bits of history and several plot components make this a good cozy mystery. Not fast paced, but enjoyable.
"Great Finder story!"
Typical Finder corporate intrigue plot, except that this time I liked the protagonist. A bit predictable, but still enjoyable. Scott Brick makes his books a good listen.
"Pure entertainment"
Ok, it got a bit spicey, but it is JUST ENTERTAINMENT, not a study in literature. I was pleasantly surprised, and simply enjoyed the whole book. I enjoyed the Agatha Christie style of so many suspects. The reader's voice was not what I would expect, but fine. I find I adapt to readers I don't enjoy at first. Try it! It is just a bit of a twist on the typical characters, professions, and background.
