I haven't read the print version but I would say yes. The music adds lots of drama
When Anita is tossed between two lovers, Jean-Claude and Richard
Yes but the same thing with all the others.
This book is geared towards a tween. The beginning is a little scary for a kid but basically that is what this book was written for. I felt like grandpa was reading a story to a child in some parts. Silas was the only character that made sense to me. Even thought this book got great reviews for "adventure", "mystery" etc. I didn't really see it at all. But, then again some really liked it but I did not.
Great! Intriguing! Scarey!!
There was no "most memorable moments", the whole book was memorable.
Julia of course/
Yes and yes and yes!! I listened for 4 hours straight, I didn't want to stop.
One heck of a good ghost story. I found it to be one of the best I ever read or listened to.
I loved the twists and turns and the ghostly feeling you get from listening to the book. The reader gave it a special chill factor
Never read anything like this one. Would like to if there was one out there like it.
I loved the book but "something" seemed missing to me. I have no idea what but at the end I felt a little let down. Anyone have that feeling?
The entire book
Oh yes it sure did
Just an all around great book
No, just read it
Yes, there are too many "scenes" that are similar in nature.
This is the first
Calm, changeable, ?
No, not for me.
Don't think I would listen to time travel books again. This one was too confusing with several scenes that were similar and seemed repetitious to me. This is a Sci-Fi book not a mystery. If you are into Sci-Fi then go for it. Just wasn't for me.
I also am buying the printed version because I want to read this book over and over.
There is no other book that compares to Heft. The authors insight into human nature is overwhelming. It was like she actually lived the life of Arthur and Arthur Kel.
This is my first time and I am extremely impressed with the way they showed how they actually felt. It was like they lived the characters themselves.
Yes and yes and yes!! I listened to the book hours and hours. I didn't want to stop, it was so intriguing.
I highly recommend this book. The characters come to life and you will actually find yourself talking back to them. The only word I can use to describe Heft is powerful.
Yes, it is intriguing, has a little romance, mystery at it's best.
Yes it sure did. You never knew what was coming next.
I enjoyed the inflections in Ms. Michaels voice. Brought drama to the book.
I enjoyed it all.
Regardless of what other reviews stated this is not a silly school girl book nor is it ridiculous. I thoroughly enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. If you are looking for a deep serious mystery then this is not for you. It is light, funny, certain parts keep you spell bound so just try it.
Yes, this book is on top of my list to tell friends about.
Yes, it was a greT read and well with getting to anyone who wants a little mystery but not don to the point of annoyance.
Actually, I think this was better then Syamore Row. The plot had twists and tirns, a true guessing game as "who done It" book,
I would rank this in the middle.
Michael Beck made the story come to life!
No, I listen in segments.
The book, for me, dragged the first 2 parts. Although it had a feeling of mystery, there were too many details with the other characters. The first two parts set the stage for what Mississippi was like back in the 1980's. That was interesting but I felt some of it had nothing to do with the story line. Some will argue with me over that but it was dragging along with all the details. The last part, had more action. My biggest disappointment was when the lawyer, Brigance, was touting he was going to defend Hubbard's will no matter what, gave in to the Judge's request for sharing the inheritance. If he was going head to head with all the others involved why did he give in at all? He said he would fulfill Hubbard's request but he didn't.
On of the best! The suspense kept me listening for hours! Only had the audio version.
Annabell and her determination
The tone brought depth to the story.
