The ultimate guide to relationships, influence and persuasion in 21st century business.

What is most important to your success as a sales or business professional? Is it education, experience, product knowledge, job title, territory, or business dress? Is it your company's reputation, product, price, marketing collateral, delivery lead times, in stock ratios, service guarantees, management strength, or warehouse location? Is it testimonials, the latest Forbes write up, or brand awareness?

What disappointed you about People Buy You: The Real Secret to what Matters Most in Business?

The voice gets on my nerves at times. Why on earth do some of these guys insist on trying accents or mimicking other voices? It's laughable at times.

What could Jeb Blount have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Maybe pick another narrator and not make the story telling so long winded and full of unnecessary details that detract from the point.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Hi voice drones on and on at times. Some of the good info gets lost in all the dialogue, and his mimicry of other accents is cringe worthy.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from People Buy You: The Real Secret to what Matters Most in Business?

A lot, too many to list here. The story telling is too long winded at times.

    Any additional comments?

Some good material in here, but gets lost in some of the noise.

Are you sick of being on a diet? Do you always seem to be struggling to stop gaining weight? Fat Girl Friday is the most unique dieting book ever written – it will change the way you eat for the rest of your life! Craig Beck is one of the fittest, healthiest and most toned people you will ever meet. So why is he known around the world as ‘Fat Guy Friday’? In truth that’s exactly what he used to be.. a big fat guy! Until one day he said enough is enough and broke the cycle of yo-yo dieting that had plagued his life.

Would you try another book from Craig Beck and/or Craig Beck?

Yes I think so, but I would make sure it was new stuff, not repackaged old stuff just with a different title. This is Fat Guy Friday just under a different title, extremely disappointing and waste of money.

Has Fat Girl Friday turned you off from other books in this genre?

No but it has made me wary of Craig's books. He has a lot of repetition in all his work, it gets annoying.

What didn’t you like about Craig Beck’s performance?

It's the same as his other book Fat Guy Friday, just aimed at a different demographic. Very misleading and a bit sneaky.

What character would you cut from Fat Girl Friday?

    NA

    Any additional comments?

Craig is good, but this is a disappointing ploy to sell books. I made the mistake of buying both so my fault I guess, buyer beware.

  • Swallow The Happy Pill: Secrets To True Happiness

"I just want to be happy," a simple goal expressed as though it were the very least we could expect of life. Some phrase it differently, and some attach requirement or specifics to the statement by pre-deciding how happiness must be packaged. Nonetheless it sounds so reasonable an expectation and yet for some reason so many people spend an entire lifetime unable to reach or even discover the first step on the path to this universal desire. Many believe that this illusive state would be possible if they could only win the lottery, inherit great wealth....

What would have made Swallow The Happy Pill better?

Not so much repetition from other books Craig has written. He repeats so many anecdotes or examples to back up his commentary and you know what he's going to say, word for word, before he says it. This gets very annoying.

Would you ever listen to anything by Craig Beck again?

Yes, because I like Craig, but I would need to be a bit more discerning about choosing my titles. I have read a lot of his stuff, but the repetition gets too much.

How could the performance have been better?

    Use new material.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment. This one just isn't very interesting.

    Any additional comments?

Craig has a good voice to listen to, unlike a lot of other audible narrators or authors doing their own material. Just going over old ground gets very old.

In his groundbreaking Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, T. Harv Eker states: "Give me five minutes, and I can predict your financial future for the rest of your life!" Eker does this by identifying your "money and success blueprint". This blueprint determines your financial life. If your money blueprint is not set for a high level of success, you will never have a lot of money, and if somehow you do, you will most likely lose it!

What disappointed you about Secrets of the Millionaire Mind?

You get loads of the same rah rah, raise your hands in the air style info over and over again. No real learning or teaching points. The crowd interaction is super annoying after a while.

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Not sure.

How could the performance have been better?

Provide more teaching and educational information, rather than just raving on and on about having the right attitude - tell us what to do with this attitude, not how to find it.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment, annoyance with the content. Inability to hear the whole thing out.

    Any additional comments?

Maybe this stuff works on some people but it certainly put me off attending one of his seminars.
