I just spend the last year and two months listening to the 13 books of the WOT series for the first time. I stumbled upon this series from a recommendation by my son. This is a wonderful epic. I am so happy that Mr. Sanderson took upon the task of completing the series. It is obvious that he truly loves to characters and the roots of the series.
It has been mentioned by several reviewers that a few books in the dragged on. This is true. But the story lines all needed to be set up for the final books of the grand finale.
I wait until January to listen to the completion of this wonderful work.
Just completed listening to this book. Mr. Sanderson makes great characters. This is a unique altered word story that is great for all ages. A bit of a "Harry Potter" feel, this will be a great series and I am looking forward to the next book so some of the loose ends can be tied up.
Michael Kramer did an excellent job reading the text and covering the various accents.
This is a great short story. The perfect person to do the narration. I would love to see this as a series... a detective series with a twist.
I am surprised that there are complaints about the recording / editing of this book going back to May of 2011 yet Audible has not fixed the problem.
I am plowing my way through this wonderful series of books by the late Robert Jordan. I got hooked in the first book and cannot stop. According to Wikipedia, there are 419 hours and 30 minutes of performance by Kate Reading and Micheal Kramer with one more book yet to come.
My reason however for posting this review is because the recording was simply done incorrectly. Many times throughout the performance, you will have to listen to repeated sentences.. Extremely annoying and something that should be easily fixed.
So why hasn't Audible remeded this problem or at least provided a warning to their customers that this version has material defects?
