I hate to read books. You can't do anything but keep you head in a fixed position and generally keep still. Now I can do mundane stuff and enjoy a good book on audio.
I've been listening to a few audio books on tape and enjoyed them. But this (MP3 on an IPOD) is the best so far. It's like a modern day American version of Sherlock Holmes with more action. Rene, the narrator, is wonderful in the many voices that he uses for the dialog of the characters and his elocution is first rate. It's like listening to a good radio drama (I know that I'm aging myself). The best thing is that you can turn it off and listen to the rest later and not miss the rest of the story.

Cabinets of Curiosities was my first P&C audio book ever. I was hooked. When I started "Still Life with Crows", I thought "Huh?". It was so different than I expected. I didn't think that I would like it. But it was just as good.

I listened to this book over 2 years ago while on vacation in florida in the winter. It was so good that I limited myself to listening to it on my early morning walks on the beach. It still ranks as munber one in my list of audiobooks (I listen to about 1 a week). I thought that it was an autobiography until early into the second part. Maybe it was because the voice was that of the author and the book is written in the first person.
