What made the experience of listening to The Unquiet Mind the most enjoyable?

I have a niece who has recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, so I was especially interested in Dr. Jamison's perspective as both a patient and a doctor. It gave me some great insight into what my niece might have been struggling with for many years. I also was relieved to find that there is hope for some peace once time, understanding and the right medications have prevailed.

    Any additional comments?

This is an important book for people wanting to understand relatives and friends who have been diagnosed as bipolar.

Miss Pettigrew is a down-on-her-luck, middle-aged governess sent by her employment agency to work for a nightclub singer rather than a household of unruly children. Over a period of 24 hours, as she becomes caught up in the life of Delysia LaFloss, her own life is changed - forever. This charming, funny, light-hearted 1938 novel was a bestseller on its first appearance. Read by Academy Award winning actress Frances McDormand, who stars in the 2008 film as Miss Pettigrew.

Would you listen to Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day again? Why?

Maybe, but probably not. It was a lovely story, but once is enough.

What aspect of Frances McDormand???s performance would you have changed?

I think she did a fine job.

A highly decorated captain in the U.S. Army, Luis Montalvan never backed down from a challenge during his two tours of duty in Iraq. After returning home, however, the pressures of his physical wounds, traumatic brain injury, and post-traumatic stress disorder began to take their toll. In constant physical pain, he soon found himself unable to climb a simple flight of stairs or face a bus ride to the VA hospital. He drank; he argued; he cut himself off from those he loved. Then Luis met Tuesday, a beautiful and sensitive golden retriever....

Where does Until Tuesday rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

This is an excellent book, and one I'm recommending to all of my friends. It kept me enthralled from beginning to end, just as much or even more than some of the fiction books I've listened to.

What about Luis Carlos Montalvan???s performance did you like?

I like Mr. Montalvan's writing very much, and he read his own book well. The fact that he read it himself gave it more weight in my mind, and I felt the love he has for Tuesday even more. His open honesty about his personal situation was moving.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was in tears at the end, when Tuesday received a diploma along with Mr. Montalvan.

    Any additional comments?

I finished the book and almost wanted to start all over again!
