The first part of the book starts out with some feel good thoughts but in the last part, this guy uses his history with psychedelic drugs as a basis for his knowledge. Someone should tell you before you buy this book where he gets his foundations.

Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more influential, and more profitable than others? Why do some command greater loyalty from customers and employees alike? Even among the successful, why are so few able to repeat their successes over and over? People like Martin Luther King Jr., Steve Jobs, and the Wright Brothers might have little in common, but they all started with why.

Don't waste your money. The theory presented here is that every ache and pain is caused by our psychology and if knowing that does not work for you then you are not accepting reality. I think he has everything backwards--The condition of the body affects the mind...but then I am not a doctor so what do I know.

This book will help you flourish. With this unprecedented promise, internationally esteemed psychologist Martin Seligman begins Flourish, his first book in 10 years - and the first to present his dynamic new concept of what well-being really is. Traditionally, the goal of psychology has been to relieve human suffering, but the goal of the Positive Psychology movement, which Dr. Seligman has led for 15 years, is different - it’s about actually raising the bar for the human condition.

This book is written for the serious student of psychology. If you are expecting a self-development book look elsewhere. The narrator is dry and lifeless. This is one I wish I could return for a refund.
