I loved the original, but was a little put off by some of the negative reviews. It is not just a redo, the extra script & the varying narators, including the author, make this a true pleasure of thoughtful entertainment. Thank you Mr Gaiman. My wife & I look forward to your next endeavor.

I wanted to love this as much as TSNOTD. I stuck with it to the middle of the 3rd download, then put it aside in exasperation (the 2nd time I've done that in over 10 years & a couple hundred Audible downloads). I know it's the fault of my excess expectations- I have rarely enjoyed a character as much as Cyril. Nothing in this sequel grabbed me. Some interesting historical bits, but the repetetive tedious mistakes & unending premature incorrect assumptions of the inept & obviously ill-trained "historians" left me wishing they were wiped out by a bomb. That's when I knew it was time to quit.

Another entertaining installment with a fun mix of hard scifi, history, physics, & humor. Ringo should reward the narrator for a heroic performance trying to sing heavy metal & falsetto J-pop. It wore thin after a while, as did the tedious arguments of the XO with the cook. The least strong of the series so far, but fun.

I did not want it to end. An incredibly entertaining story by an amazingly talented narrator. My wife loved it just as much. Neil Gaiman continues to write fiction which strikes sympathetic chords within the mind & spirit. I anticipate listening to this (as well as "American Gods" & other Gaiman works) periodically for many years.

An intriguing & creative tale concerning a 19th Century historical mystery of a doomed arctic exploration. The narrator is superb & flows between British accents realistically & effortlessly. He varies his diction enough to maintain your interest. I was sorry when it ended.
Dan Simmons is a master of futuristic high tech science fiction, & his "Hyperion" series is without equal.
