A friend of mine introduced me to the Jack Reacher series based on my fondness for thrillers and mysteries. The first book was, in my opinion, a weak introduction but made Jack Reacher a character worth getting to know better. Now I'm totally hooked. I enjoyed The Enemy because it gave me the background on Reacher that I really had been wondering about.
I wouldn't recommend this book if it's your first foray into Lee Child's Reacher. It may be a little boring or draggy for the uninitiated. But to those of us who can't wait to get more of Jack Reacher, this was a treat!
I am a HUGE fan of Lee Child AND Jack Reacher. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The story was shallow and could have been told in half the time.
Whenever James Patterson teams up with another writer, it is truly hit or miss. This is definitely in the latter category. If you absolutely have nothing else to do, for instance washing your hair, go ahead and waste your time and money here. Otherwise move on!
