I love the Otherworld series - and it's had several different readers throughout its 13-book duration. Unfortunately for me, my favorite reader only did one. I love Johanna Parker's reading in the Southern Vampire series, but I can't get that series out of my head when I listen to this one. She does a good job, but she'll always be Sookie to my ears.
As far as the story goes, Kelley Armstrong did it again! The story was great and stressful! Fans of the series get to see a little of everyone - so no matter who's your favorite, you get to see them!
I love Molly Harper's books. All of them. I've loved all of them. This one I loved less, but I still enjoyed it a lot. They're fun, witty and sarcastic. Her main characters have the kind of relationships that you imagine "fun" couples to have. They snark, they pick, they joke and in the end, there's no doubt that they love each other.
In reading Molly Harper's books, you feel like you're one of the group. There wasn't as much of a "group" in this book, as the main characters spent a lot of time alone together. So I did miss that aspect... and Collin was more serious than other guys we've seen from her - I missed the silliness.
Fans of the Jane Jameson series will be happy to see Dick again... as we've all missed him.
All in all, if you're looking for a light, paranormal love story - you really can't go wrong with this one.
