This book had some interesting information which could have been presented in about half the space used. The author spent too much space presenting his personal bias toward less consumption and less individualism. There is an underlying implication that those of us that choose to live in the suburbs, have second homes and consume more have been duped. I continue to do these things because I enjoy them and can afford to do them, even though this is contrary to the author's opinions on current trends and future sustainability.
While there is some good information in the book and the reader does a good job, it was difficult to wade through the infinite anecdotes.
